[email protected] Message from the Principal Information was sent home this week regarding next week’s PRI sessions. We look forward to seeing, and hearing from many of you on Monday and Tuesday. Thanks in advance for taking the time to meet and discuss the many practices, procedures and programs being implemented at PBPS. You may have seen our new Digital LED School Sign. It has been a long time coming but it has arrived and has been installed. Stay tuned for regular upcoming events and subtle reminders. Thank you to our P&C for their contribution of $2000 towards a new Interactive Panel for our Yr4 classroom. The remaining $2000 was raised at last years Art Show. Thank you to all who contributed to raise the funds and make the event special for the kids. Thank you and farewell to Sally Maer, our Cello tutor, who will be taking time to focus on various other exciting life and career opportunities. Our school Strings program may not have been the successful program it is today had it not been for Sally’s enthusiasm, dedication and involvement over the past years. Please consult the calendar below for upcoming events and reminders. We look forward to your ongoing support and participation throughout the term. What’s Happening at PBPS? This was the first opportunity the Kindergartens have had to go out of the school grounds. The students were extremely excited! All students followed the rules of excellence, respect and responsibility making it an enjoyable visit to the park. Students played on the equipment, shared exercise tips on the special machines and participated in many sporting activities including soccer, shooting in netball hoops and parachute games. Thank you to all the parent helpers that came along. It was a fantastic excursion and I am looking forward to taking the Kinders out again during Term 2. Mrs Gordon

Operation Art 2018 Congratulations Maya on your Operation Art artwork which is now being displayed at Gosford Hospital.

STEPHANIE ALEXANDER KITCHEN GARDEN This fortnight in SAKG we worked in the garden moving mulch and weeding the sensory garden. We also planted carrot seeds in pots that we made out of newspaper. In the kitchen we continued practising out knife skills cutting up fruit and vegetables to share together. We learnt ‘the bear claw’ which keeps our fingers out of the way when we are cutting. Some students wrote in their journals and took photos and others worked in their SAKG booklets listing foods they like and dislike. We are all learning as we go but enjoying our time in the garden and kitchen and sharing food together at the end of each session! Mrs Coombes and Mrs Hutchens
