Dear Parents
PARENT ACCESS TO THE SCHOOL GROUNDS
Our building project has made it difficult for us to manage parent access to our school grounds and we are experiencing a
problem with parents wandering around on our school premises and in the school building.
We want to make the following clear:
NO PARENTS ARE ALLOWED TO BE ON OUR SCHOOL GROUNDS DURING SCHOOL HOURS (07:30 – 14:15). THE
ONLY EXCEPTION IS WHERE PARENTS OF OUR GRADE 1 AND 2 LEARNERS ENTER THE SCHOOL FROM THE
SPORT FIELD TO WATCH JUNIOR SPORT PRACTISES. THESE PARENTS MAY NOT GO BEYOND THE PAVILION
AS WE STILL HAVE LEARNERS ATTENDING CLASSES IN THE SCHOOL BUILDING – EVEN IN THE JUNIOR
CLASSES FROM WHICH LEARNERS HAVE BEEN DISMISSED.
PARENTS MAY DEFINITELY NOT BE INSIDE THE SCHOOL PREMISES, IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL BUILDING –
PLEASE ASSIST US IN THIS REGARD.
We are responsible for the safety of every learner in the school and we cannot assume that people who wander around on
our school grounds are a parent of a learner of our school. A stranger can grab your child and we will be held responsible,
as we are responsible for your learner during the official school hours. We have had reports of suspicious people hanging
around schools in the past – please understand our concerns.

Ons is verantwoordelik vir die veiligheid van elke leerder in die skool en kan nie aanneem dat ‘n volwassene wat op ons
skoolgrond rondbeweeg, ‘n ouer van ‘n leerder van ons skool is nie. Enige vreemdeling kan u kind gryp en wegneem en
dan is die skool verantwoordelik vir u kind, aangesien dit binne die amptelike skoolure plaasgevind het. Daar is berigte van
suspisieuse mense wat rondom skole drentel – verstaan asseblief ons bekommernisse.
Ons versoek al ons ouers om hieraan gehoor te gee.
Vanaf vandag, 11 Februarie 2020, sal ongemagtigde persone wat op die skoolterrein is, gevra word om die perseel te
verlaat.

skoolbiblioteek ongelooflik baie baat vind!
During the month of February the library has the "Love your Library" campaign.
Op Vrydag, 14 Februarie vier ons "Lief jou Biblioteekdag" met pragtige boekmerke, lekkertjies, heerlike pret en wonderlike boeke!
Please let us all spread the love of books by reading to our learners; by visiting a public library or a bookshop; talking about books and how to take care of them, donating books to our library and so many more!
It's a chance for everyone to reconnect with the library and share the library love.

Ons vra asseblief dat ouers nie op die Everjas parkering, voor die Heinie Brandvleuel (Hek 11), sal parkeer nie.
Those two parkings are resevered for the Everjas personnel. They need those parkings when stock is delivered. En
op ‘n Woensdagaand is die parkering vir hulle eie veiligheid.

ATLETIEK
Ongeveer 80 atlete het Vrydag en Saterdag aan die Durbell Atletiekbyeenkoms deelgeneem wat dien as die eerste
rondte om WP-kleure te verwerf. With only the top 2 athletes in each event chosen to go through to the next round,
Eversdal managed to send 15 athletes through. They will compete on Saturday, 15 February, at the Metro North
Athletic Championships. Well done!

Op Maandag 10 Februarie 2020 het ons swemspan deelgeneem aan Laerskool Durbanville se swemgala. The Evers
showed outstanding sportsmanship during this event. Congratulations to the boys ladder relay team who came
second.
CHESS
Van ons skaakspelers het Vrydag, 7 Februarie en Saterdag, 8 Februarie, aan die Distrik-Noord Individuele
Skaakproewe by Ravensmead Sekondêr deelgeneem. We are proud of our Evers who participated in this individual
event.
Skaakfooie kan via EFT betaal word. Bewys van betaling kan ge-epos word na die finansiële kantoor, of kontant kan
in ‘n koevert by die finansiële kantoor ingehandig word. Skaakpersoneel hanteer geen kontant nie.
KRIEKET
Ons Evers het verlede week 12 wedstryde gespeel waarvan hul 5 gewen het. Baie geluk, aan almal wat deelgeneem
het en ons skool se naam hoog gehou het.
