Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) & Check List

You are obviously excited about the delivery of your ne car! but "#I$% any havepaid a hu'e

price for the resultant haste! and its best to take soe necessary precautions beforedrivin' aay in

your ne achine*

$ea-+,P enlists all that you should check for as a part of the pre-delivery inspection

Before Registration:

"e recoend visitin' the dealerships stockyard and checkin' your car prior to re'istration* .nce it

is re'istered in your nae! there is little you can do* Check the car anufacturin'onth / year!

especially hen buyin' in the 0rst 1uarter of any year

notorious for sellin' cars that have been anufactured up to 23 onths earlier* #scertain that the

year of anufacture is current! and the onth is recent* +est ay is to ask the dealerfor the 45or

664 certi0cate (issued by the anufacturer)* You ill 0nd the en'ine / chassis nubers on this

certi0cate! hile the onth / year of anufacture are on the 4road-orthiness4 certi0cate (part of

5or 66)*

If the odoeter is disconnected! in all probability! the allocated car has been used as a test-drive

vehicle* #lso check for any repair 7obs / body daa'e8 daa'e to soe cars is inevitable in transit

and ost repair ork is 'larin'ly obvious*

IMPORTANT: Check the tax calculations on the dealership invoice* .verchar'in' for 9$./ octroi /

lifetie taxes is a popular sca at any Indian dealerships* Pay only the actual char'es due to the

authorities and not a rupee ore*

Preparations:

been prepared and is ready* If you have a preference for a particular day / tie (for

auspicious reasons)! infor the sales person*
