PDI Participants Welcome to the 2011 MOSAC2 Professional Development Institute! Our PDI ranks as one of the best in the nation in terms of numbers, outstanding keynote speakers, and exceptional breakout sessions. Not only is there measurable quality, but the opportunity to learn from one another as well. Networking is the priceless commodity I value the most. To hear new ideas and connect with old friends is always valued, but talking and listening to people throughout the state, knowing we’re all in this together in these tough times is good for the soul. Take time this year and enjoy not only the sessions,
but each other as well. A wise man once said, “In all
things, be willing to listen to people around you.
None of us is really smart enough to go it alone.” ~ John Clendenin
Sincerely,
Ron Duncan

Keynote Speakers
Without a doubt, Jeff Havens offers the most unique and entertaining presentations in America
today. His original, informative, hilarious, and powerful approach has transformed the way
business people and students approach the idea of personal and professional growth. A Phi Beta
Kappa graduate of Vanderbilt University, Jeff began his career as a high school English
teacher before following his father Rex Havens into the world of stand-up comedy, where he worked with some of the brightest lights in
American comedy and honed the art of engaging audiences through laughter. But his impulse to teach never faded, and soon he began looking for an avenue to combine both of his passions into entertaining and meaningful presentations.

According to the Society of Human Resources Management, Dr. Cal LeMon has been
designated among the "Ten Best Speakers in America." After an acclaimed career in the
ministry which included serving as senior minister of a large, multi-staff parish and a chaplain at
Harvard University, Dr. LeMon made a professional shift to become a senior faculty member with National Seminars Group. Cal
traveled across the United States, Canada and Europe and quickly became the highest rated
(from audience evaluations) male presenter for NSG. With this professional background, LeMon will walk on stage blending the genuine empathy of a clergyman, the precise skills of a seasoned public speaker, an engaging unrehearsed sense of humor and the business savvy acquired from 25 years of working with his Fortune 500 clients.
