To start, download the Transit app in GooglePlay or the App Store and open the app.

How to use Tapp Pay via a mobile device

How to use Tapp Pay via Tapp Pay card

Tap “Ride Now” when you’re boarding to open your account and scan your barcode on the payment reader.

You can use Tapp Payto save money on fare thanks to fare capping!

Your funds are now in youraccount and ready to use

when you ride the bus.

Tap “buy,” and then “pay with your mobile phone” to add money to your Tapp Pay account. New users will need to create a login using a valid email address, and will have to create a password to load money to their account.

Customers who are unable to use a mobile device can still benefit from fare capping using a reloadable Tapp Pay card. These cards are available at payment kiosks at any RTA transit center. Currently, there is no cost to receive a card; however, customers are urged to keep this card and reload it to fully benefit from RTA’s new payment system and fare capping, as well as add a new card to the account should the card be lost or stolen. Contact RTA at 937-425-8300 if your card is lost or stolen. To create a personalized account, check your balance, or reload the card, customers should login to the Tapp Pay Hub at www.iriderta.org/Tapp-PayhubCustomers will need to enter a valid email address and create a password to load funds to their account. Within the hub, a complete account history can be viewed, and funds may be added at any time using a debit or credit card.

Funds can also be added to a Tapp Pay card by using a payment kiosk at any RTA transit center. All kiosks accept credit cards, debit cards, and at Wright Stop Plaza the kiosks also accept cash. Customers should follow the prompts on the kiosk to add funds. Cash can also be used to add funds by going to one of RTA’s partner sales outlets.

You’ll see a bar at the bottom ofyour screen with the RTA logo.

You’ll need to add a debit or credit card to your Tapp Pay account to complete the checkout process.

If you still have previously purchased Tapp Pay passes in your account, you can use those passes by going to your Transit profile under the gear icon and selecting the ticket you wish to use. This is strongly recommended before utilizing fare capping as you only have 365 days to use purchased bus passes before they expire.

Value can be added to your account directly in the app using a debit or credit card, or by using a payment kiosk at any RTA transit center.

All kiosks accept credit cards, debit cards, and at Wright Stop Plaza the kiosks also accept cash. Customers can also use one of RTA’s partner sales outlets.
