Visualizing those other worlds through books has driven my creativity; before I ever put pen to paper, I see it in my head.

As a graphic designer, form and function create the foundation from which I work. All pieces, eventually, fit together as one.

This design concept comes from the history of the English tea shop, which became trendy in the 1880's. Ladies would gather every afternoon for gossip over a cup of tea.

The name 'Muse Tea' comes from the woman who popularized tea in Britain in the 1600's.

This design capitalizes on the upscale tea market. The overall design resembles a small gift, no need for wrapping paper.

This magazine spread emulates the style of Psychology Today.

Since the layout design of Psychology Today is very fluid and fun; drop caps become graphic elements, font size is progressively scaled down, and all the type is justified.

The images reflect the tone of the article title and content written within.

Due to the mobile nature of the food truck business, a mobile application is extremely useful.

Paleo Sweets customers now have the ability to find where and when the truck will be located, look at the menu, read about the owners, and share their experience while dining.

Paleo Sweets is quirky and the owners are young and lighthearted. The design reflects this by having a fun, fresh, and trendy vibe.

Three different systems of organization are used to create the same advertisement for a trip to Mars; axial, grid, and random. Inspired from the book 'Typographic Systems' by Kimberly Elam.

The ads are geared towards the individual looking for the best in extreme sports and the ultimate adventure.

These ads accomplish the goal of selling vacations to Mars by the use of Mars and skier visuals, enticing body copy, and company contact information.

Save the Note is a festival benefiting North Carolina public schools to help with funding efforts for music programs.

All the artists are from North Carolina. The event is in the heart of downtown Raleigh. This event also caters to families, since they are the individuals impacted by budget cuts.

This series is designed with a playful radial pattern. It captures attention and is friendly and inviting. The color gives warmth and the notes give texture.

Wake Forest, NC, offers a small town feeling, even though it is growing everyday.

Raise awareness of small town outdoor spaces and businesses with promotional material. This small accordion calendar can be handed out at events and mailed to new residents in the surrounding areas.

Each panel is 5 x 5 inches, for a total length of 35 inches. Printed front to back and stands up for easy display.

Visiting Montana several years ago yielded many photos from a hot air balloon ride in the valley. The colorful photos inspired this piece.

The type and color chosen match the feel of the balloon images and produce a cohesive design.
