Introduction:By Session 4, each Generation 0 (G0) Team member should be prepared to start a new G1 T4T Group. The G1 T4T Team Meetings should be approximately 2 to 3 weeks behind the G0 Meetings. As the Initial Team Leader for the new G1 T4T team, you can use the materials taught in your G0 team meetings.

As you begin meeting with your Generation 1 (G1) T4T group, be alert to those that the Holy Spirit surfaces as leaders. These are the individuals that you will pour more of your time in discipling than the others and they will become the leaders that will result in a Church Planting Movement (CPM) across your community.

The Purpose of T4T: The purpose of T4T will be repeated many times throughout the course. It depends upon the Holy Spirit's energizing Biblical scripture. It is a process of systematic obedience to what Jesus Christ has commissioned each Christian to do. It will be too easy to lose sight of what this process is designed to accomplish; Train Trainers!

What to do during the Fourth T4T sessionThe fourth T4T session repeats the seven parts as taught in sessions 1, 2 and 3. This session will begin to emphasize the plan to start additional T4T Generation 1 teams with those witnessed to that have said YES.

1.How Are You Doing?Always open each T4T session with a brief time of sharing about how each team member is doing (about 10 to 12 minutes).

By the fourth session, the team members should have the experience of communicating with some people they know that have rejected their offer to share Christ with them and some that have said YES.

Be more specific in asking each team member to share the results of their witnessing and something about those that have said YES.

Encourage them if they report problems and commend them for their successes.

2. Let's Worship HIM with PrayerCall for a brief time to be silent and ask each team member to pray. Ask the Holy Spirit to energize the meeting. Pray by name for the ones being witnessed to. Ask Him to remind the team members of new names

that are away from God.

The Team Leader should close this important part of the session

3. Loving AccountabilityAsk each team member to report on the results of their goals set at the previous meeting. Ask each

one to share how many names they now have on their list. Have them stand one at a time and share their morning's time in prayer and Bible study.

Each should tell the team what the Introduction in the T4T book means to them.

Ask each to tell about when and where they plan to start their Generation 1 T4T team meetings.

Have them cite the preparations they will be making to make sure their G1 team members are baptized. What preparations have they made to supply their G1 team members with forms to fill in names of people they know that are away from God? Ask if they also have forms for their G1 team members to write their story and bridge to the Gospel.

What preparations will they make to teach and then serve the Lord's Supper?

If time permits, ask each to verbalize their story, bridge to the Gospel, and the Gospel in less than two minutes.

4. Cast a Vision Each member of the G0 team is very special in the eyes of Holy God. He has created each for a very special purpose. He not only loves each dearly but He accepts each as being holy, blameless, and beyond reproach! This is AMAZING!. Like the common fishermen and tax collectors that made up Jesus' 12

disciples, He continues to call people of all walks of life today to Follow Him!

In fact, He loves us so much that He (in the person of The Son) left heaven and came to earth for 33

years to show us how to live unselfish lives for others. He allowed himself to be sacrificed so we could enjoy freedom from the penalty of our bad choices (sin) and

even more, the power of sin. Though hard to imagine, God the Father gave the righteousness of His Son to us in exchange for our sins.

You have been entrusted with the greatest news on the planet. You must realize that He loves all people and has equipped you to share this good news (called the Gospel) with people that you know that are away from Him. The creator of the universe not only trusts you with the gospel but depends upon you to become fishers of men.

5. Short Discipleship Story - PerseveranceAll people (including you) have grown up in a culture of selfishness. Our motives are generally expressed by gratifying our selves. Christ called us to a different lifestyle of being selfless. In fact he declared, "If you are to be a follower of mine, you must take up your cross daily." In essence we are to live daily as though our self has been crucified (executed, dead, non-existent.)

James 1:4

The people you know that are away from God are still living self centered lives and they have been spiritually blinded by the god of this world (Satan) according to II Corinthians 4:4. Thus they will often be resistant to your offer to share your story and bridge to the gospel. Knowing that, you must persevere as obedient followers of Christ.

We want to be accepted by other men and fear their rejection. The Bible instructs us to, “Fear God, not men!” (Proverbs 9:10). “But I'll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, Who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, He's the one to fear.” (Luke 12:5)

The best way to persevere is to reflect daily on what Christ has done for you and remember that He took upon Himself the sins of the whole world, not just yours.

Romans 5:3-4 “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”

Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

A famous athletic coach used to tell his team, "It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get back up that really counts."

God blesses you when you are mocked and persecuted and lied about because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted, too. Matthew 5:11-12

6. Let's PracticeHave the team re-arrange themselves into smaller groups of 2 to 4 each.

Have the smaller groups discuss their experiences of telling their story and bridge to the gospel but were rejected and how they handled it.

Have them study Colossians 1:22 and discuss what it means to them. Tell them that if they trust Christ for forgiveness they must also trust Him for presenting them to the Heavenly Father as holy, blameless, and beyond reproach.

They can accomplish what the T4T process instructs them to do. Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26. Not only is it possible, He is depending upon them to save their community (country).

They should also share the instances of when they told their story, bridge, and gospel and the people that they were sharing with said YES.

Ask the small groups to pray for each other, the people on their list that are away from God and for the others in their T4T team.

7. Goal Setting and PrayerGather the small groups back to discuss goals to be undertaken during the next week.

During the next week, pray daily for the names on your list and ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your attention additional names that you know that are away from God.

The G0 team members should continue their Generation 1 (G1) team meetings made up of those that have said YES to their witnessing efforts though these may be small in number. Have new converts that have said YES to your witness join their G1 team meetings.

Distribute forms to list people they know that are away from God and write their brief story.

Recognize one or two leaders from the G1 team and start turning responsibility for the G1 T4T meetings over to them. Encourage the G1 members to start new T4T groups made up of those that have said YES to their witnessing efforts. Dismiss the fourth T4T team session with prayer.

Short T4T Discipleship Lesson - PerseveranceAs practicing Christians, we are to expect resistance to our efforts to share the gospel of

Christ with others; even persecution. Knowing that, we must resolve to persevere - keep on keeping on.

We want to be accepted by other men and fear their rejection. Knowing this, the Bible instructs us to Fear God not men! (Proverbs 9:10) In Luke 12:5, we are instructed who to fear - "God who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell."

The best way to be a persevering Christian is to practice the daily discipline of studying the Bible and praying. Practice a daily prayer life as if you are taking the Lord's supper each morning. Search your spirit and confess any revealed sins to your Heavenly Father. Reflect on what Christ has done for you. He endured much hardship and persecution. He suffered rejection, false accusations, abuse, torture and ultimately execution as a common criminal though he had done no wrong nor broken any laws. Most significantly, He took upon Himself the sins of the world. Thus providing you freedom from the penalty of your sins and from the power of sin. Consequently He is preparing a much better place for you to enjoy with Him throughout eternity!

Your commission is to let those far away from God know of His indescribable love for them even if they do reject you. He is worth it!

Remind yourself that you have a strong spiritual enemy that will use lots of deceptive tricks and temptations to interfere with your faithfulness to Christ. II Corinthians 4:4 informs us that Satan is the god of this world and he uses the resources of this world to tempt us to compromise.

You have many encouraging promises in the Bible. Christ said, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7.

Romans 5:3-4 “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”

Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

You must persevere if your commission to carry the gospel to others is to be carried out. Remember it's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up that really matters.

"God blesses you when you are mocked and persecuted and lied about because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted, too." Matthew 5:11-12
