Come early to say the Rosary – Every weekend one half hour
before Mass begins we recite the Rosary in church. Weekends ONLY. Morning Offering Prayer: O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers,
works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of
the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of your
Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and the reunion of
all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all
Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy
Father this month.
The Pope asks us to pray for two intentions each month. These
are the intentions for April:
♦ Creation ~ That people may learn to respect creation and care
for it as a gift of God.
♦ Persecuted Christians ~ That persecuted Christians may feel
the consoling presence of the Risen Lord and the solidarity of
all the Church.

These weekly confidential meetings offer an opportunity for
grieving adults to share their stories with one another, thus giving
and receiving mutual support. Handouts are given which offer
insights and coping skills for an adult’s journey through grief.
Although offered in conjunction with Hospice of Michigan, this
series is for anyone grieving, whether or not their loved one was
directly involved with Hospice.

#5) Volunteer or come to a car wash! Our team will be at the Walgreens at:
8364 Byron Center Ave. SW Byron Center, MI on April 25th from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m. (Your car will thank us! And we will thank you!)
#4) Come to the Culver's at 7393 Co*onwood Dr, Jenison, MI on April 29th
from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and have dinner! OM gets a por�on of the proceeds.

#3) Come watch a fantas�c play at St. John Vianney and purchase some conces-
sions! We will be selling candy, water, popcorn etc on May 5th & May 7th at
6:30 p.m. (Watch our drama department kids put on a great play and have a

At the dawn on the first day of the week...there was a
violent earthquake. Mt 28:1-2
REFLECTION: In the Old Testament, earthquakes are a sign of
the coming of God, the breaking in of the new age in which God’s
kingdom will flourish. That is what happens, of course, at the
Resurrection. A new chapter of history now begins in which the
risen life of Christ is accepted by believers and overcomes human-
ity’s slavery to death.
PRAYER: Father, in the light of the Resurrection, may we con-
tinue to extend Your victory over death.
This week you will receive a letter from Bishop Walkowiak asking you to make a commitment to support the work of our diocesan programs and ministries that provide services that no one parish could provide on its own through the Catholic Services Appeal (CSA). Your gift to CSA enables diocesan and parish ministries to reach out to people in our 11 counties in a variety of ways, including formation of our seminarians; youth programming; support for the home-bound and those who are incarcerated; families who are struggling; the hungry; and the homeless. Through CSA we all work together to care for the Church by sharing the gifts God has granted us.
