ContentBarrier Isolation Technology is an integral part of manypharmaceutical filling lines. The course describes thecorrelation between the different designs for high potent drugs e.g. non toxic or toxic together with the correlation to the current GMP rules and guidelines. Therefore different BIT applications will be discussed with reference to Restricted Access Barrier Systems, Containment Systems and Isolators. Based on this we discuss the biodecontamination processes including the fast transfer proces-ses needed for transfer isolators. Other components like the basic function principles of AHU (Air Handling Units) will be explained together with troubleshooting and maintenance of BIT systems.
