According to John Grant the main thing is to get good financial advice andensure that mortgage borrowings are structured correctly."People should approach their accountant or financial planner to find out detailsof negative/positive gearing and the factors influencing the rate of increase oftheir portfolio," John Grant said. "The important thing is to realize that equity ispower - power that even average income earners can tap into for the purpose ofpreparing for their retirement."
