Natalie Coughlin has found a perfect balance in training for the 2012 Olympics, and in her June 10 interview, she talked about how much of her training is done in the pool and out of the pool. She also discussed her potential racing program for 2012 and her favorite pre-race meal.

Watch this episode here:

Shortly after her June 3 interview, Alicia Coutts swam to a lifetime best in the 200 IM at a

meet in Spain. In the interview, she talked about an impressive set she did while training at altitude and her working relationship with Coach John Fowlie.

Todd Schmitz is at the helm of the Colorado Stars, and this summer he’s working with Kara Lynn Joyce and Missy Franklin as they prepare for this month’s World Championships. The two have been training well together, and Schmitz said both motivate each other daily in workout. Schmitz also talks about his goals as a coach, which will depend on the growth of the stars in 2012 and the performances of his swimmers at the U.S. Olympic Trials. Franklin has been swimming fast all season, which Schmitz said is part of their plan to get her on relays in Shanghai. Watch this interview from June 15 to learn more about Schmitz’s coaching philosophy on deck and how Joyce became a part of the Colorado Stars.Watch this episode here:http://tv.swimmingworldmagazine.com/shows/the-morning-swim-show/morning-swim-show-episodes/11317

A few weeks after officially taking over as head coach at the University of Arizona, Eric Hansen talked in this May 25 interview about his goals in keeping the Wildcat legacy alive. He made big changes not only in his coaching staff, but in the way they work on and off deck. This, he said, will

allow coaches to be coaches more than administrators. As far as his swimmers in the pool, he is excited to work with a young women’s team, an experienced men’s team and a large crop of postgraduate swimmers that will require many hours on deck, but could become ultimately rewarding. In the end, he said he’s happy to be back in Tucson, where he swam as one of the few postgraduate swimmers in the 1990s.Watch this episode here:http://tv.swimmingworldmagazine.com/shows/the-morning-swim-show/morning-swim-show-episodes/11140
