Sustainability leadership in a changing world1

Environmental and social issues like climate change, biodiversity loss and the future of work are shaping up to be some of the greatest opportunities and challenges for business in our lifetime.

They will require transformational strategic thinking, creativity and innovation, at a scale not seen in a generation. They will also demand cross-sectoral collaborations and partnerships at a scale never seen before, at times involving cooperation amongst competitors.

This year’s Sustainability Leadership programme has been designed to help deliver some of the skills and thinking that businesses need to navigate these complex issues.

The programme has been developed specifically for senior business leaders and managers, with accountability for environmental and social outcomes. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and learnings with a cohort of other leading change agents from across SBC’s membership.

Sustainability leadership in 2018

They will be able to test and develop their ideas, with experienced Chief Executives, Board Directors, peers and experts, as well as apply new skills, ideas and learnings to live projects.

SBC is thrilled that the 2018 leadership development programme is being run in partnership with Catapult. It has been helping develop strong and agile leaders in New Zealand for nearly 20 years, working with some of our greatest leaders and most successful organisations.
