Gearing up for Ghana Fall 2015
Ghana Mission 2015 Be praying and making plans to join us this October for our medical mission trip to the Village of Hope in Fetteh, West Africa. We solicit your prayer and participation as we gear up for this partnership. If you are interested in this ministry, we welcome you to consider joining us. The need is great and takes us all. Please let James East or David Gentry know of your interest.
Farragut Church of Christ is pleased to host a preventive health event. Life Line Screen-ing, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, will host their affordable, non-invasive and painless health screenings on 7/7/2015. Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to: blocked arteries which is a leading cause of stroke; abdominal aor-tic aneurysms which can lead to a ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the legs which is a strong predictor of heart disease; atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is closely tied to stroke risk; and a bone density screening, for men and wom-en, used to assess the risk of osteoporosis. Register for a Wellness Package which in-cludes 4 vascular tests and osteoporosis screening from $149 ($139 with our mem-ber discount). All five screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete. In order to register for this event and to receive a $10 discount off any package priced above $129, please call 1-888-653-6441 or visit www.lifelinescreening.com/community-partners.

We are beginning fund-raising for our youth group trip to Mexico! So be ready to have 60 PINK FLAMINGOS placed in your yard! If you want to buy in-surance against being fla-mingoed, the cost is $75. Once you have been flamin-goed, we ask for a minimum of 50$ to have the flamingos removed and placed in an-other member's yard of your choice. So let the sabotag-ing begin. If you want to protect yourself from the flamingos you might want to buy that insurance QUICK!
