Ni�e College of Pharmaceu�cal Sciences
(NCOPS), Bangalore is a cons�tuent of Ni�e
Educa�on Trust, Mangalore. It was established in
2018 to provide a nurturing atmosphere for
pharmaceu�cal professionals. NCOPS is offering
Diploma and Bachelors program in Pharmacy.
The Ins�tu�on aims to bring M.Pharm, Pharm.D
and PhD courses too in the near future. NCOPS is
recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI),
Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences
(RGUHS), All India Council of Technical Educa�on,
(AICTE) New Delhi and Govt. of Karnataka.
NCOPS is equipped with modern infrastructure,
advanced labs , knowledge centre and
professionally qualified faculty. The ins�tute is
located in a 23-acre campus, with hostel facili�es
for its students and a fleet of buses through out
the c i ty of Bangalore. The ins�tute is
con�nuously seeking to upgrade the quality of its
educa�on and is ac�vely involved in research to
remain on the cu�ng edge. Our commitment is
to develop the ins�tu�on to a world-class
learning centre and impar�ng con�nuing
educa�on programs to fulfil the needs of working
professionals.Pharmacy courses offered by Indian educa�onal ins�tu�ons have come to be accepted
on par with world bench mark for obvious reasons of student standards, teaching
competencies, robustness of course content and student employability.
I am happy to know that Ni�e College of Pharmaceu�cal Sciences, Bengaluru is living
up to such best standards. It is said that educa�on of heart should be the heart of
educa�on. It is not enough producing professionals in any field, moulding them into
responsible service providers, conscien�ous ci�zens is equally important. I am sure
that the Ins�tute will take care of these impera�ves while preparing qualified,
competent pharmacists which our health care industry is eagerly looking up to.
The Pharma professional courses (B.Pharm and D. Pharm) offered by the College have
high employment quo�ent and are well-tuned to emerging industry requirements.
The College has integrated new domains of Data Science and Nanotechnology in its
overall curriculum.
I wish the Principal, Faculty and Staff a great success in running these courses and
reaching the student - parent expecta�ons.
Ni�e College of Pharmaceu�cal Sciences, Bengaluru which is a cons�tuent of Ni�e
Educa�on Trust, Mangaluru has already made its presence felt by students, parents
and patrons for offering courses in B. Pharm and D. Pharm through its unique
educa�on delivery systems. It is a part of our 36 strong network of ins�tu�ons in three
campuses.
Pharmacy graduates and diploma holders are in great demand in sectors like health
care, research, and manufacturing, medical marke�ng and such other. It is good to
know that pharmaceu�cal market in India is growing phenomenally thus offering
robust opportuni�es to Pharma graduates and professionals either to seek jobs,
explore entrepreneurial avenues or prac�ce as qualified pharmacists.
I place on record the good work done by the Principal of the Ins�tute, the teaching

Pharmaceu�cal Sciences was established in the year 2018 to nurture

The objec�ve of the IIP Cell is to reduce the gap
between industry expecta�ons and academic
offerings by direct involvement of industry to
a�ain a symbiosis.

mantri Jan Aushadhi Scheme is a direct market
interven�on scheme, with an aim to make
available quality generic medicines to all at
affordable prices through Jan Aushadhi Stores
(JAS). The main aim of Jan Aushadhi Stores in
the college is to train the students in drug-store
handling, dispensing, inventory management
and pa�ent counselling.

ADMISSION
PROCEDUREStudents who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathema�cs and Biology (PCMB) or Physics,
Chemistry, Mathema�cs and Computers (PCMC) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathema�cs and Sta�s�cs (PCMS)
can seek admission for this course. Applica�on Form can be obtained from the office or Downloaded from
the website. Filled applica�on must be submi�ed to the NCOPS office or uploaded online.
Proficiency Development Cell is designed to
train pharma students effec�vely to cater the
needs of pharmaceu�cal industry. Regular
seminars, workshops, training programmes
are organized in a mo�va�ng, and interac�ve
manner, which gives bounteous scope for the
students to face the future challenges and be
industry ready.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
Students who have passed 10+2 with
physics, chemistry and biology or physics,
chemistry and mathema�cs can seek
admission for this course.

Students having diploma in pharmacy can
have lateral admission to the second year of
the course.
Bachelor degree in pharmacy is a 4 year
course. A�er comple�on students can
register themselves as pharmacist. Plenty of
job opportuni�es are there in both private
and government sectors. Some examples of
job posi�ons are QC – QA pharmacist,
produc�on pharmacist, formula�on and
development execu�ve, research scien�st,
drug inspector, drug analyst, drug advisor,
clinical coordinator, quality assurance officer,
scien�fic wri�ng specialists and so on.
Other than these, jobs in industrial and
manufacturing sector, hospitals etc. are
available.
This is a 2 year course. Upon successful
comple�on, students can get registered as
pharmacists under State Pharmacy Council.
D.Pharm holders are eligible to work as
hospital pharmacist and community
pharmacist in both private and government
sectors. They can also work as medical sales
representa�ves for reputed Pharmaceu�cal
companies; posi�ons are also available in
industry as technicians.
Students willing to pursue their higher
studies can con�nue their educa�on by
joining laterally to the second year of
B.Pharm course.

NCOPS has a well equipped machine room with Tablet Punching
Machine, Tablet Coa�ng Machine, Hardness tester, Friability
Tester, Capsule Filling Machine, Ampoule sealing machines and
Ointment Filling Machine.
NCOPS has a well-equipped Medical Centre with an in-house nurse
and doctor on call. NCOPS has a MoU with MS Ramaiah Memorial
Hospital and Aveksha Hospital for medical emergency. Counselling
sessions are available for students. Covid screening programme
and vaccina�on drive are held regularly during this pandemic.
The NCOPS library has a comprehensive collec�on of Books,
Periodicals, E-Resources in Pharmacy. The Library subscribes to
Na�onal, Interna�onal, e-journals and is a member of HELINET
consor�um. The Library is fully automated using KOHA Library
Management So�ware and Library ac�vi�es are completely
automated.
The Instrumenta�on room is equipped with UV-VIS
Spectrophotometer, Tablet disintegra�on apparatus, tablet
dissolu�on apparatus, colorimeter, and polarimeter help the
student to gather the basic and applied knowledge in pharmacy.
NCOPS provides on-campus Hostels for boys and girls with 1000
plus capacity. Twin and triple sharing rooms are available.
Students are served both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
In-house wardens take care of the needs of students and help
maintaining discipline in the hostel.
NCOPS has excellent infrastructure for promo�ng sports. The
campus has a mul�-purpose track, a hockey ground, facili�es for
cricket, basketball, volleyball, badminton and throw-ball. Indoor
sports such as table tennis, carom and chess are available.
Communica�on has evolved beyond face to face interac�on in
the digital age. NCOPS trains students with skills required to
communicate more effec�vely.
NCOPS provides college transport through out Bangalore city.
We offer safe and convenient transporta�on. We have a fleet of
20+ buses with good connec�vity and our buses are GPS
enabled.
