The conference, to be held in conjunction with the World Food Prize, willbring together partners from the public and private sectors, civil society, and the research and scientificcommunities to discuss challenges and solutions related to delivering programs to alleviate hunger andpromote longterm food security throughout the world. Apply for the Asia Region Social and Behavioral Change WorkshopSave the date: November 30 December 7, 2016 Hanoi, Vietnam HKI/Vietnam will host a TOPSfunded, 7day combined Designing for Behavior Change/Barrier Analysistraining from November 30 December 7, 2016 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The purpose of the training is to increaseparticipants' skills to design evidencebased behavior change strategies using the results of Barrier Analysis(BA) studies. Participants will be asked to commit to developing a BA questionnaire in local language as part ofthe course, and to conduct a BA study in the months following the training, for which remote technicalassistance will be provided. This training will use these manuals: Designing for Behavior Change for Agriculture, Natural ResourceManagement, Health and Nutrition and A Practical Guide to Conducting a Barrier Analysis. The course will beconducted in English. As a result of attending the training, participants will be able to:

Design evidencebased behavior change strategies using the DBC FrameworkPlan and carry out a Barrier Analysis study and use the findings to inform behavior change strategydesign/modifications

The ideal participant will be a senior program staff member of a USAID/FFPfunded food security project inAsia, who has authority to design/make changes to the project's behavior change strategy.
