Student achievement gaps: We have a large group of children, despite the best efforts of our teachers and staff, who are more than 2 years below grade level. We need to do something different .

Differentiated Master Schedule: Diverse learners need a master schedule matched to their learning needs, but currently all students receive the same amount of time for instruction. We need to do something different.

Teacher workload: It is challenging for teachers to plan high quality instruction (think: projects, assessments, daily lessons, and engaging activities) for reading, writing, math, social studies and science. We need to do something different.

Teacher career progression: Many teachers desiring increased pay often have to leave the classroom and our school. We need to do something different.
