Let Your Actions EvangelizeState Deputy Bob Penas

[email protected] (320) 327-2122 Every action we take (and do not take) speaks volumes about who we are.Words, discussions, and plans are important, but if they are not put into action, they are meaningless. Yes, we need to plan carefully, but in the end, we need to act. Our actions need to be guided by God. We are here to help and care for others — our Brother Knights, our Church, our families, our communities, neighbors (even those we will never meet), and our world. As you start this new fraternal year, of course you need to plan ahead and discuss what will be done, but then DO SOMETHING! Make a difference in your church, your com-munity, and your families. Don’t just write checks.Implement at least one new program that touches others. It could be as simple as asking everyone in your parish to save pop tabs for our newest program and implementing the Dial a Knight initiative to keep in touch with your current members.Start some new Youth Programs. Most are very simple to do and have a great impact on not only our youth, but their parents, as well. If you are not already doing so, implement some of the great ideas put forth by Supreme to help us Build the Domestic Church and strengthen our parishes. Remember, each council is indeed an important part of their home parish, and everything we do should be with that in mind. We need to work together, strengthening and supporting one another.Of course, to do this, we need to continue to bring new brothers into the Order. Our lega-cy cannot continue without many hands to do the work. I am sad to say that our 2015-16 numbers for charitable contributions and volunteer hours donated by Minnesota Knights of Columbus was lower than the past year. I know in my heart that we all want to do more, not less. We are known as a generous and compassionate people, always ready to lend a hand. Let us get out there and DO MORE, and by doing more, we will let our ac-tions evangelize others as we do God’s work here on earth. Vivat Jesus!

Living our CommitmentState Chaplain Fr. Raul [email protected]

As we starts our new fraternal year with new directive members in our State Council level, I would like say big thanks to Immediate Past State Deputy Joe Konrardy for his three years of service in this position. I am glad I was able to be part of his leadership. I learned a lot from him about our Order and how to be a leader. May the Lord continue outpouring his blessings upon him and his family.I look forward to be part of the leadership of our new State Deputy Bob Penas. During my three years at the state level, I’ve seen how he, and the rest of the crew who moved up in leadership, work hard to keep our state in the best position by finding ways to re-activate councils, open new councils, add new members, and find new programs that will helps our individual councils be in touch with those in need. Why do they do that? Because they truly believe in our Order and the good our Order does for others. Most of them were inducted by their fathers who were very active in their council. It is in the living our commitment to our brotherhood and our faith that we can persuade others to be part of our Order.I want to use a bible passage from the second letter from St. Paul to Timothy (2Tm. 1:1-14) to enlighten my thought. In this passage, Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ, by thewill of God, expressed his gratitude to God for the faith he has in Him and which he hadreceived from his ancestors. Also, he refreshed Timothy’s memory of the faith that hehad received by his mother Eunice and grandmother Lois. The faith we profess, by thegrace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, has been handed over us by our parentsas they brought us to the Church for Baptism. They made a promise to raise us in thefaith. A good sign of it is that we are active in our faith. After this introduction, St. Paul wrote to Timothy, “I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God you have through the imposition of my hands.” (v.6). My friends, we, as Timothy, need to stir into flame the gift of God that we have receive in the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation — putting our gifts in action, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform us and transform those who we encounter in our lives. In one way, our Order helps us to live out our Christian life by encouraging us to be good Christians, making strong our families, the domestic Church, and by being active parish members, attentive to the needs of our local churches and the universal church. May this new fraternal year will be a time for all of us to continue touching lives with what we do and changing lives by the way we live our faith. May the Lord continue blessing us and blessing the legacy of our blessed founder Fr. Michael J. McGivney. Vivat Jesus!!!

Tying Up Loose EndsState Secretary Marc Peters

[email protected] (651) 482-8771

Before I handover the checkbook and the responsibilities to our new treasurer, Dave What-muff, I want to clean off my desk of odds and ends. Thank you for being so prompt in handing in bills and expense reports. This keeps the ac-counting more accurate, and you will get paid in a more timely manner. If you have a state council check, please deposit it. Last year we had almost 20 checks over 6 months old, and it took time and effort to track those down.I remind the local councils that you should have two signatures on the checks you issue. This is just another safeguard of protecting the council funds.I get a lot of calls asking why the Tootsie Roll checks are not given to the councils to hand out. Past history shows that when the checks were sent to the councils, many were stuck in an envelope and put in the case of the new grand knight. Since it seems that most councils take some of the summer off (which you shouldn’t do, but that’s a topic for another day), the checks were often forgotten until fall. Once a check was found and delivered, it was now 4-5 months later since the event. The check had lost its impact and the organization didn’t have that money to use over the summer. Some checks were lost and no one even realized it until the state treasurer worked on stale checks. All Special Olympic checks are now turned into the main office. The funds are deposited in to the individual accounts of the local groups. All they need to do is requisition the funds. The groups all know this pro-cess.All state officers, staff, and team members are here to help you run your council; not to cre-ate more paperwork. The paperwork we do ask for is necessary for us to help you. As you read this, Form 185 Election of Officers should be in (and a copy sent to the state office) and Form 365 Service Program Personnel should be in or being worked on as it’s due Au-gust 1st. Take a few minutes to see that these are turned in.

Have a great summer. Call me if you have any questions about the operation of your council. Vivat Jesus!

REMINDER: All checks sent to

the Minnesota Knights of

Columbus should be made

payable to:Minnesota Knights of Columbus

We are Almost There!!!Only $2584.75 Needed to Fill the Container for Colombia

Community Activities Director Joe George [email protected] (651) 253-3112

To date, we have raised almost all the funds to send a container of wheelchairs to Colombia — only $2584.75 to go. Please take advantage of the extra envelope from the State Office to donate to the Colombia Wheelchairs. Please bring it up at yournext council meeting, and see what your council can do to help this great cause. $150 doesn’t just buy someone in need a wheelchair; it gives them HOPE and FREEDOM. According to the statistics from the American Wheelchair Mission, each chair that’s donated affects at least 10 people. If you’ve not had a chance to watch one of the videos from the AWM, go to their website and check them out. Not only does it give them Hope and Freedom, but it gives them JOY like I have never seen before. I heard an acronym for JOY that I just love — J=Jesus O=Others Y=Yourself. Isn’t that how we are called to live? If everyone followed this simple rule, this world would be a better place.I encourage all councils to consider having a Wheelchair Sunday at your parish. It really is easy. Chris Lewis and his team will come to your parish and speak at all masses. They take care of everything. If you would like details on how to get started, please contact me. Can you think of someone right here in Minnesota who could use a wheelchair? Maybe the chairs at the local nursing home need to be replaced. Or maybe you know someone who can’t leave their house because they have an injury or an illness. No matter what the situation is, we can help. We still have 30 wheelchairs in stock right here in Minnesota in 3 sizes: 14”, 18”, and 20”. In Lino Lakes, we have one (1) 14” and ten (10) 18” chairs stored. In Nevis, we have two (2) 14”, sixteen (16) 18”, and one (1) 20” inch stored. Please call me if you have any questions on how to order or where to pick them up. The form can be found on the mnknights.org website under Forms and on page 18 of this newsletter. This form can be used for the Colombia Wheelchairs as well as the Minnesota Wheelchairs.

My 2 Cents State Treasurer Dave Whatmuff

[email protected] (763) 772-2997

I thank the delegates from Minnesota Councils for their confidence in electing me to serve as State Treasurer for the 2016-17 fraternal year. It is an honor and a privilege, and I pledge to perform this role to the best of my ability. I feel it is necessary to step down from the posi-tion of State Ceremonials Chairman … a post I have held for 8 years … but I will continue to be involved in all 4 degrees as a team member. A personal thank you to all the leaders and team members who have worked so hard during these years to exemplify the principles of our great Order.During the month of May I was privileged to attend 3 events in honor of priests:On May 13th, Marty and I were at the Cathedral of St. Paul and Minneapolis to witness the installation of our new Archbishop Bernard Hebda. He is a wonderful man with a great sense of humor, and we wish him every blessing for many years to come as our spiritual leader in the Archdiocese. This year, I was fortunate to be able to go up to Madden’s for the Chaplains’ Gathering on May 23rd and 24th. This is a great opportunity to recognize, in some small way, the marvel-ous service to the Order given by our Council and State Chaplains. Invitations go out to all the Council Chaplains whose names are submitted by councils on Form 365, so make sure that your Form 365 includes the name of your Chaplain, and encourage him to attend this fun, relaxing, and inspiring event. On May 28th, I had the pleasure and privilege of attending the Ordination of 9 new priests in the Archdiocese, and to play a part in presenting checks and congratulations from the Minne-sota State Council. For myself, the others who attended from the State Council, and the fourth degree honor guard, these occasions are a way to witness the “unwritten law” of the Order … In Solidarity with Our Priests. Vivat Jesus!

SP-7 — Don’t Wait — Fill it in as you go!!!!!!!Councils must conduct and report at least four major programs (or one featured program) in each of the Service Program Categories — Church, Community, Council, Family, Culture of Life, and Youth. This year, you can fulfill this goal in 3 different ways:

1. Hold 4 programs in each of the 6 categories (24 programs)2. Hold 6 Featured Programs (1 per category)3. 4 programs reported in some categories and Featured Programs for others

What is a Featured Program? It is a program (chosen by Supreme), and if you fulfill ALL the requirements for that program, it will count as completing 4 programs in that category. Your District Deputy knows about these programs, and watch for more detailed information about these programs in articles we will feature throughout the year.

These are Featured Programs: Church - RSVP; Community - Habitat for Humanity OR Global Wheelchair Mission; Council - Special Olympics; Family - Food for Families Program;

Culture of Life - Ultrasound Initiative OR March for Life; Youth - Coats for KidsRemember, these are all great programs, and if your council is unable to fulfill ALL the requirements it will not count as a Featured Program, but it will still count as one of the 4 programs you need for that category. Also, if you are using a Featured Program to count as completing 4 programs, be sure to mark it as a Featured Program on FormSP-7 and attach all accompanying paperwork.

Start Early!State Warden Dan DeCrans

[email protected] (218) 255-1125

Brother Knights: Thank you for showing your confidence in me by electing me to the office of State Warden. I look forward to serving all the Knights here in Minnesota. A bit about me — Michele and I have been married for 35 years, we have two children and one granddaughter. I have been a Knight for 38 years, and a Sir Knight for 37 years. All my adult life, I have been active in the Knights as an officer in either the 3rd or 4th degree. As we start planning this new fraternal year, you need to keep in mind that the ultimate goal for your council is Star Council. Recruiting new members 365 days a year is the responsi-bility of all Knights in your council; this should be your number one priority to reach Star Council. Start out early with recruitment, and keep it foremost on your meeting agendas to reach your Membership Quota. Plus, by recruiting early, you give your Field Agent/General Agent time to get your insurance quota made, so that in May/June at the end of the year, you have your membership and insurance quotas met, and you’re not in a panic to find one more new member or insurance member. The Columbian Award is the easiest Star Council requirement to achieve. You already know what activities your council does on a yearly basis. You know that you need 4 activi-ties in each of the six categories. Look at what you did last year, and add programs in the categories where you fell short. I am a strong believer that every council in Minnesota CANachieve the Columbian Award.Lastly, for Star Council you need to get your council forms sent in. When you send in the forms, please make sure that you have the right information on them. Phone numbers and email addresses are very important, as this is the preferred way of communication between the State Officers, Districts Deputies, Membership Team, Program Team, and your council. There are certain naughty lists that your council will want to get off of quick. The State Of-ficers will be monitoring these on a monthly basis. Membership — you will need to be at least +1 positive. Insurance — you will need to be at least +1 positive. Forms — I have been appointed forms chairman this year, the goal of the state is to have 100% of all forms sent in. Please get your forms in by the due date. If they are not in you will be getting emails, phone calls, and visits from your District Deputy, Regional Chairmen, and State Of-ficers. There is no reason that your council cannot get the required forms in on time. Please get them in before I have to get ahold of you.By starting early and keeping at it, this will be a great year for your council and all the Knights in Minnesota. I promise to help you with whatever I can for the success of your council this year. Vivat Jesus!

Master’s MemoDistrict Master Craig Larson, PSD

[email protected] 218-289-3872As we begin another fraternal year, every council is a Star Council, every Assembly is a Star Assembly, and we are on the doorstep of a great year of Knighthood in Minnesota. Now it’s up to each of us to do our part to make it happen. What if everyone did just one more thing? What if we asked one more man to join? What if we all helped with one more project or activity? Just think of the good we would do. Please try to do one more thing over the course of the next year and see what happens. It can only be good for our councils, churches, communities, and families.I hope that many of you had the opportunity to see the relics of Saints Thomas More and John Fisher as they made their way across Minnesota. I am writing this on June 21st, the vigil of the feast day of these courageous men and the beginning of the Fort-night for Freedom which will end on July 4th. These men gave their lives for the free-dom of the Church and for freedom of conscience. Please continue to pray for Reli-gious Freedom around the world, not only during this special time but every day.In a few weeks we are holding a “Membership Weekend” at Epiphany Parish in Coon Rapids. We will be conducting a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Degree initiation on Friday July 22nd. We will also conduct a 4th Degree Exemplification on Saturday, June 23rd. On Friday, we will begin registering candidates at 5:00 p.m. with the 1st Degree beginning at 5:30 p.m. The 2nd Degree will be at 6:30 p.m., followed by the 3rd Degree. On Saturday, registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the ceremony beginning at 11:00 a.m. Therewill be a light lunch following the Exemplification on Saturday. This will be a wonder-ful way to get our fraternal year off to a great start. Please RSVP to me by July 20th tomake sure we have enough supplies for a successful weekend.

This could be the “one more thing” for lots of us. Have a great summer. Vivat Jesus!

Membership 365State Membership Director Conrad Meier

(320) 260-6945 or (320) [email protected]

My name is Conrad Meier, and I am the new State Membership Director. The one thing I have learned is the only way to get new members is to be ready to ask and then explain how they can make a differ-ence. Many of you know me as the State Free Throw Contest Chairman for the past five years. I am a member of Bishop Zardetti Council 5548 in St. Cloud, where I am serving my second year as finan-cial secretary, following two years as grand knight. One of the biggest challenges we have in our coun-cils, parishes, and faith communities, is maintaining and growing our members. It all starts with you and me. We need to be strong in living our faith and supporting our priests and parishes. They need our support for their programs and to bring in new ideas to get the existing parish members active and work-ing together and attracting new members.Remember that membership is a 365 day a year op-portunity. With that in mind, take a look at the in-centives we are offering to our members and coun-cils to start off the year on track this summer.I look forward to working and learning with you this year.

P.S. We have four more International Free Throw Champions and two perfect scores!

Service to the Church and the Community

Did You Know?Þ The Knights of Columbus set a new all-time record last year for charitable do-

nations and service hours with $175,079,192 in donations and more than 73.5 million hours of service. The numbers were announced at the closing session of the annual Organizational Meeting of State Deputies in New Haven.

Þ Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson and his wife, Dorian, attended the 6th Poland State Convention which took place April 22-24, 2016 in Lomza, Poland. Locat-ed northeast of the capital city of Warsaw, Lomza was one of the original six cities where the first Knights of Columbus councils were established in 2006. This year's State Convention coincided with the 10th anniversary of the first ceremonial exemplifications that established the Order of the Knights of Colum-bus in Poland.

Þ In 2010, Council 8157 formally established Knight Hands as a way for members to help parishioners in need at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, where the council is based. If they needed assistance, parishioners were asked to fill out an applica-tion. Then, pending review and approval by the Knight Hands' advisory board, a team would be sent to the worksite to get the job done - at no cost to the client.

Agent of the MonthField Agent Denny Schommer is the May 2016 Rennie Agency Agent of the Month. His production in March put nearly $1 mil-lion of life insurance coverage on his members and two associate members became insurance members of the Order. Thank Denny for living Fr. McGivney's vision of protecting Catholic families.

Minnesota Ladies AuxiliaryHello, Happy 4th of July and Summertime. I am writing this after my first installation of officers as 2016-17 State Auxiliary President. The installation was with the first council formed in St. Paul, and the auxiliary was celebrating its first anniversary. If your auxiliary has not been installed, please contact me to set up an installation date. The state officers met in June at Mary Wick’s cabin and had a wonderful time. The 2020 50th Anniversary Committee is meeting this month to get the fun times rolling, and the board meets again on August 6th. I hope your auxiliary has plans for a good summer get-together. I am a member of Fr. Reiser Auxiliary #10138 from the Church of the Epiphany in Coon Rapids. Bob and I have been part of the Knights for 15+ years, and I would not be here as president without his support and the support of past Auxilians, presidents, officers, and current board members. The ladies who are part of the State Auxiliary (local & board) have held up their men and provided support to their churches and communi-ties for many years. As the newly elected president, my duty to you is to continue providing strength and support by building our auxiliaries both on a personal and a council level. To lead in words and actions. The State Auxiliary has been in existence for nearly 50 years. I see my role as a bridge connecting the past to the future. We have a strong foundation in our history and former leadership. The newly elected board is filled with life and great ideas. We have reached out to our Hispanic sisters and hope to have a Hispanic auxiliary in the near future. I ask that as you build your councils and bring in younger men, you consider building an auxiliary and help to bring in younger women.Under this bridge is a mass of water that flows in many directions. Each officer on the board is a sailing vessel loaded with gifts and tal-ents. You are the wind that helps these vessels sail, and together we are a fleet that reaches across many miles. Join us, help set our sails, and give us the wind that will move us into the future with God’s glory, blessings, and honor. God bless you all.

Continuing and BuildingState Program Director

[email protected] (507) 721-3064

Brother Knights: Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Bou Gazley and State Deputy Bob Penas has asked me to serve the state as State Program Director. I am from Rochester, MN and have recently served as State Youth Activities Director and as District Deputy for the six councils in Rochester and the new council in Pine Island/Zumbrota. Being District Deputy was a very rewarding position that I recommend every-one to consider serving as a DD, but I am also very excited to start in this new position as Program Director. This past month, the State Officers and staff met to produce a strategic plan for the upcom-ing fraternal year. Membership is always a big part of our plans, but good quality programs lead to membership. Strong programs can be an incentive for a new brother to join us, as well as a great way to keep those brothers who are already members active. Active mem-bership provides for a stronger brotherhood, and more importantly, a stronger Church.I wanted to take a moment now to mention some of the goals for our programing this year. The first goal is to achieve 100% submission of Form 185 (Report of Officers Chosen), Form 365 (Service Program Personnel Report), Form 1728 (Annual Survey of Fraternal Activity), and the SP-7 (Columbian Award Application). These forms are important, be-cause the first two provide Supreme, the State Council, and other state staff with contact information for council personnel, and the last two record the activities that all of our coun-cils conduct annually. If every council would submit these forms, it would help us out greatly. We will also be initiating some new programs and attempting to grow other programs this year. We will be growing our Habitat for Humanity program, our Global Wheelchair Mis-sion, Food for Families, and our youth programs (particularly the Coats for Kids program, the Citizenship Essay Contest and the Substance Abuse Poster Contest) this fraternal year. We will be implementing a new Pop Tabs for Ronald McDonald House campaign and ap-pointing leadership for the Solidarity Cross program. There is a lot of great work being done in Minnesota, but there are always ways to improve upon our programing. If you have any comments, questions, or recommendations for me or any of the programing staff, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] or (507) 721-3064. Vivat Jesus!

New Community Activities Program

Collect Pop Tabs for Ronald McDonald House

Þ Collect tabs throughout the yearÞ Bring them to the 2017 State ConventionÞ Council with highest weight per member winsÞ Winning Council announced at the 2017 State Convention BanquetÞ Winner may display the traveling trophy until the 2018 State ConventionÞ Benefit Minnesota Ronald McDonald HousesÞ Help families who need these services in MinnesotaCurrently there are five Ronald McDonald Houses in Minnesota — one located in Rochester at the Mayo Clinic and the other four in the Twin Cities. These houses provide a comfortable and caring home-away-from-home that keeps families together and reduces stress during a child’s serious illness. This includes providing home-cooked dinners every night, family-friendly activi-ties, private rooms, accredited K-12 schooling, and much more.Collecting pop tabs is a simple and easy program for your council to participate in. Bring the tabs you have collected to the 2017 State Convention to be weighed. The council with the highest weight per member will be classified as the winner (numberof council members based on July 1, 2016 membership). At the 2017 State Convention Banquet, the winning council will re-ceive a traveling trophy to display until the 2018 State Convention. This program has been very successful in Indiana (where 2016-17 Community Activities Director Chris Wrobel first learned about it). At their 2015 State Convention, they surpassed 1 million tabs collected, generating over $400,000 dollars for RonaldMcDonald house in Indianapolis. Because of the generosity of the Knights, the Ronald McDonald house was able to buy anoth-er building to service additional families. Their council participation level was 65%. This is an easy program for a worthwhile cause.

Ideas that various councils have used to collect tabs:

1) Collect Aluminum Cans- Remove tabs before recycling cans- Save tabs for convention weigh-in- Use the money from recycled cans to fund other council charitable activities

2) Competitions in Area Schools- Start at the beginning of the school year- Each grade level collects tabs year round- Weigh tabs once a month- Post class standings on a master chart- The class with the highest total per student at the end of the year wins a pizza lunch provided by the council

3) Local Bars and Restaurants- Ask them to save tabs- List collection locations in the council newsletter so members can patronize these businesses (win – win situation)- The establishment which collects the most tabs is given a free ad in the council newsletter for a year and a sign to

display stating they helped sick children’s families at the Ronald McDonald house

Send us your articles and pictures, so your council can be featured, and you can inspire others with your projects and activities.

We don’t need to brag, but we need to keep the community informed through articles in our local papers and church bulletins and by being visible as a positive presence in our communities as Knights of Columbus.

Amber Rose Kordiak BenefitOn May 22nd a benefit was held to help the Kordiak fami-ly with Amber Rose’s medical and associated expenses. The St Patrick’s Knights of Columbus Council #5101 held a pancake breakfast in conjunction with a silent auction and pie auction put on by parish groups and friends. Over $7000 was raised. The event was well attended with many community members and businesses contributing. Proceeds raised were presented to the family. Thank you to all who helped or contributed. Nearly 3 years ago, a tractor tire fell on Amber Rose and smashed her face causing extensive damage to her face and nasal passages and various other injuries. The doctors say she was fortunate to have survived. She has been un-dergoing treatment at the children’s hospital in Minneap-olis and the Mayo Clinic. Reconstruction is progressing, but she has several years of treatment ahead. Her medical expenses have been overwhelming and the insurance only pays so much. Jessie, here dad is a member of St. Pat-rick’s council 5101

Pictured below is Grand Knight Lee Auers presenting a check to the Kordiak family.

Knights, their families, and friends of Fr. Finley #4374 helped raise more

than $4,600 on May 21st at the Missionary

Sisters of St. Peter Claver’s 20th annual plant

sale. The Sisters will donate the proceeds to support the adoption of Dalit Children in India.

Each year, this plant sale is held on the third Saturday of May.

80 Years of Service

George Blecha joined the KCs in 1936, but only be-came really active when he moved to Minnesota and joined the Marian Council in Bloomington. He became a 4th Degree Knight and was also their Financial Secretary for 8 or 9 years. He and his wife moved to Sun City Center, FL in 1979 where he joined Council 7282 and was 1981-82 Grand Knight. He headed many projects in both Bloomington and Flori-da. He was the very first chairman of the Tootsie Roll Drive in the council in Sun City. They moved back to Minne-sota in 1999 because of his wife's failing health. He is currently a member of New Brighton Council 14250, is celebrating his 80th Anniversary as Knight of Columbus, and will be 103 in September.Did George’s proposer have any idea that he was starting

George on the path of 80 years of service and fraterni-ty? Probably not, but what a legacy they have provided! Ask someone to join us

HOLY FAMILY ICON

“The future of the world and of the Church passes through the family,” observed St. John Paul II, whom Pope Francis called “the Pope of the Family.” Recognizing the vital role of families in the world, the Knights of Columbus has dedicated its 17th Order-wide prayer program to the Holy Family, to strengthen Catholic families and their prayer lives.Minnesota Knights of Columbus have 5 Holy Family Icons to cover all districts in the state by June 2017. The supporting materials from Supreme include the Holy Family Icon, English and Spanish Prayer Books, English and Spanish Prayer Cards, as well as a logbook for recording each presentation. Participants are to keep the prayer cards, but the Prayer Books are to stay with the materials. Remember to record the attendance in the logbook and transfer it to the next District/Council on a timely basis. Thanks for your cooperation in keeping each of the Holy Family Icons on schedule so all councils/parishes/districts are able to participate.Supreme has recommended that we implement the Building the Domestic Church While Strengthening Our Parish initiative by expanding the Holy Family Program and hosting a diocesan-wide “Holy Family Celebration” one Saturday in October. This will require council cooperation in each diocese to get a Holy Family Icon and materials for each of the sessions. Please contact me to volunteer and help coordi-nate. Thank you.

The schedule of the 5 Holy Family Icons is included for your reference. This is the link to the Holy Family Icon Prayer Book on the Supreme Web Site: http://kofc.org/un/en/service/church/marian/support_materials.htmlFor questions, comments, need for additional supplies, and periodic reporting of pro-gress, please contact Minnesota Knights of Columbus Marian Hour of Prayer Chairman Orville Fillbrandt at 952-887-1218, 612-751-2943, or [email protected]
