THE POWER

FROM HEAVEN

8 But you will receive power when

the Holy Spirit has come upon you,

and you will be my witnesses in

Jerusalem and in all Judea and

Samaria, and to the end of the

earth."

WHY DO WE NEED THE HOLY

SPIRIT’S POWER?

23 for all have sinned and fall short

of the glory of God,

Romans 3:23

Man Is Proud Of His Strength &

Intelligence

Goliath the strongest man in

Philistine did not match with David’s

strength

The wise men of Babylon did not

match with the wisdom of Daniel

The wise men of Egypt did not match

the power of Joseph and Moses

Joseph had favor from the Pharaoh

while Moses did not have favor from

the Pharaoh. It does not matter, what

matters is that they had the favor

from God

The spirit behind these men is the

Spirit of God

Human strength will not reach the

glory of God, only through the Holy

Spirit

GOD BREAKS HUMAN

STRENGTH

When sin entered mankind, human

strength changed into pride instead

of relying in God.

God breaks every human strength by

allowing every human being to grow

old and become literally weak and

dies.

Human strength & intelligence must bow down to God

27 But God chose what is foolish in

the world to shame the wise; God

chose what is weak in the world to

shame the strong;28 God chose what is low and

despised in the world, even things

that are not, to bring to nothing

things that are,

1 Corinthians 1:27-29

29 so that no human being might

boast in the presence of God.

Holy Spirit visits us through our

worship

Personal devotion, quiet time and

prayer

Church worship services

WORSHIP IS MORE THAN

JUST SINGING

Our goal in worship is not just to sing

good songs

It is to see the Holy Spirit moving

through the 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Dead church does not experience

the move of the Holy Spirit during

worship, we are not a dead church,

we must allow the Holy Spirit to move

in our service.

EZEKIEL’S VISION

5 Thus says the Lord GOD to these

bones: Behold, I will cause breath

to enter you, and you shall live.

Ezekiel 37:5

10 So I prophesied as he

commanded me, and the breath

came into them, and they lived and

stood on their feet, an exceedingly

great army.

GOD BREATHES HIS SPIRIT IN US

7 And the LORD God formed man of

the dust of the ground, and

breathed into his nostrils the breath

soul.
