FIRST FRIDAY MASS TO HONOR THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

First Friday’s have always been devoted to the Sa-cred Heart of Jesus. We continue to honor this tradition.

The next First Friday Mass will be: November 7 at 8:15 a.m. Confessions will be heard from 7:30 am until 8:00 am. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will take place immediately following the 8:15 a.m. Mass. We will pray the Litany of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus for new and holy vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life.

Jesus’ Promises to Those Who Keep This Devotion

1. I will give them all the graces necessary. 2. I will establish peace in their families. 3. I will console them in all their troubles. 4. My Sacred Heart will provide a refuge. 5. Abundant blessings for all undertakings. 6. Sinners shall find an ocean of mercy. 7. Tepid souls shall become fervent. 8. Fervent souls shall rise to perfection. 9. Blessings for homes where an image of My Heart is exposed and honored. 10. Priests will have power to touch hearts. 11. The names of those keeping this devotion shall be written in My Heart, forever. 12. The all-powerful love of My Heart will grant to those receiving Communion on the First Friday of nine consecutive months the grace of final repentance; they shall not die under my displeasure, nor without receiving their Sacraments; My Heart shall be their assured refuge at that last hour.

STUDENTS CELEBRATE RED RIBBON WEEK

Every year students throughout the United States celebrate Red Ribbon Week. The purpose of this week is to help the students develop an awareness of the dangers of drugs, to learn to make good choices and to stay drug free.

We began our Red Ribbon Week by attending Mass and we prayed that our students would always be safe and drug free. At Mass Father blessed ribbons that the students would wear throughout the week.

Our theme this year is…”Respect yourself; Respect Your Health by Being Drug Free.” Each day during morning announcements the entire school recited our school pledge. During the week different activities took place. The students “Showed their School Spirit to be Drug Free” by wearing Spirit Wear cloth-ing. We “Socked It to Drugs” by wearing crazy socks in support of our school being drug free. The students “Teamed Up Against Drugs” by spending time with their buddies and did something fun. Each student received a special red treat. Finally on our last day “We Can Say No to Drugs,” the students brought in can goods and other non-perishable items for our Parish Food Pantry.

Please keep our students in your prayers, so that they will grow-up to be drug free and are able to make good choices.

ATTENTION SENIORS!

St. William Seniors will meet Monday, November 3rd at 10:00am in Liebrich Hall. Along with our regular features of coffee, rolls and bingo, we will be conducting a White Elephant Sale. Bring your clean, slightly used items for resale amongst our members. All seniors are welcome.
