Messages from Fr. Coon

FATHER WILL BE AWAY from late Monday afternoon until

early Wednesday evening as his annual eye doctor appointments

are in Memphis on Tuesday & Wednesday. Please pray for good

reports. There will be NO Masses or Confessions on Tuesday or

Wednesday.

NEW MEMBERS TO ST. JOHN’S PARISH COUNCIL

We appreciate the willingness of these parishioners to sacrifice

time and energy to serve on the Council and look forward to their

gifts and talents that they will share with us in this important

ministry. Outgoing members are Roger Vandeven, Marty

Calvert, & Anthony Jansen. We appreciate their gifts and talents

that they have shared with us these past three years and their sac-

rifice of time and energy that was needed to serve on the Council.

A PERSONAL NOTE FROM FATHER - On Wednesday,

May 30, I will celebrate my 25th Anniversary of Ordination to

the Priesthood. It is a blessing and a privilege for me to be serv-

ing here as your Pastor as I experience this very special moment

in my priestly life and ministry. In order that I may gather with

you, along with my family, and friends from other places to pub-

licly thank our Lord for His call to me to serve Him as a priest

these last 25 years, the following celebrations are being planned.

at 9 AM followed by grouping, witness talk, refreshments, and socializing in

the Parish Center. Please bring your pilgrims guides and a friend.

Dynamic Catholic Our latest free offering for Dynamic Catholics is titled “Ultimate

Makeover—The Transforming Power of Motherhood”. This book is appropriate for any mother or expectant mother and shows how daily life can be an opportunity to grow gracefully as

a woman, mother, wife, and friend. These are free and can be

found in the vestibule of St. John’s.

Jesus, Mary, and the Rosary!

A two-session class titled “Jesus, Mary, and

the Rosary” will be on Wednesday, May 23

and the Wednesday, May 30 and will last

1—1.5 hours each in St. John Church.

Starting time is 6:30 PM. Everyone is
