ACTS Retreat Core Team

We are in the process of developing our ACTS Core Team for our upcoming Men’s retreat. Our Men’s retreat is scheduled for November 7th - 10th, 2019. The Core Team formation process is slated to begin the first week of August. If you have already attended an ACTS retreat and would like to be a part of bringing this amazing retreat experience to the men of St. Joseph’s, please contact Deacon Denis at the rectory for more information and how to sign up.

Church Humor

Join us Wednesday, June 5th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Family Life Center as we resume the “Feeding our Faith” formation series. The theme of the series is “Why We Believe” and our topic for this session explains the Catholic response to the question “Why Confess to a Priest?”. The evening will begin with a free supper followed by a video presentation and discussion. If you never really understood WHY the Catholic Church teaches what She teaches, then this bible study is for you. In this series you’ll discover just how reasonable, biblical and beautiful the Catholic faith really is.

What: Quo Vadis Days - Tradition tells us that St. Peter put this question to Jesus ("Domine, quo vadis?" Latin for "Where are you going?") as Peter was making his way out of Rome to escape persecution. Jesus responded, "I'm going back to Rome to be crucified again in your place." Peter turned round and remained in the city until he was martyred for his faithfaith in Christ. These days will give us time to reflect on that question in our own lives: Where am I going?" We will explore that question through prayer, fraternity, recreation, and talks on discernment.
