A signal for Catholic radio in our diocese recently went live.
You are invited to share this exciting news with those you
know. 970AM is now owned and operated by “Real
Presence Radio”, an apostolate out of Fargo. The signal
reaches many cities including Rochester, Austin, Owatonna,
Albert Lea, and many communities beyond. For those who
do not get the signal in their radio, there is also a live
stream which can be found here: https://
yourcatholicradiostation.com/ and also the Real Presence
Radio app.
It is our hope that all of us can work together to find ways
to connect the faithful of our diocese to this new Catholic
radio station. Feel free to tell parishioners, post on social
media, run bulletin announcements, and simply share
through word of mouth. In the coming months,
representatives from Real Presence Radio will be present in
our diocese trying to spread the good word.

Now that the young people are out of school, we start
to focus our a&ention on our youth in a more direct
way with our summer activities. That is why I share
the World Youth Day Prayer. It ends with a li&le
litany to some special saints for our youth. Please
take time to use this prayer but also ask these saints to
look out for our youth and their families.
It’s not too late to sign up for summer activities. We
have lots of room for Cat Chat & Totus Tuus. The
summer registration info is available by the
entrances in the church, Parish Center and on our
website. h&p://www.saintjoachimchurch.org/summer
-activities.html. It has become a reality that many of
our young people are falling away from the church
which makes it even more important to give them
more time with the Lord. These activities are ideal for
growing a deeper relationship with Christ. Please
pray for all these events and if you want to help
support someone please feel free to contact me.
If you have questions, comments or you just want to
talk. Stop by, give me a call or email me.
Blessings!

WORLD YOUTH DAY PRAYER
FOR THE UNITED STATES
in preparation for World Youth Day 2019
God our Father, be with us on our pilgrim journey of faith. Give us the grace and courage to step forward in faith and hope on the road ahead.
Open our eyes to see your face in all those we encounter. Open our ears to hear your voice in those who are often ignored. Open our hearts that we might be faithful disciples of mercy and truth.
Transform us. Empower us to give of ourselves to the poor; to welcome the lost; to forgive those who hurt us; to comfort those who suffer and are marginalized.
Bless those who travel from the United States of America to Panamá, to join the universal Church for World Youth Day. Bless, too, those who celebrate stateside, united in faith and joy.
Like the disciples who journeyed up the mountain to witness the Transfiguration, may this experience be an encounter that strengthens us for our work in the world. Through the intercession of Mary, the Immaculate Conception, patroness of our nation, may we be worthy witnesses of our faith, humble representatives of our country, and inspired missionaries bringing peace, hope, and mercy into our communities.
We ask all this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
St. José Sánchez del Rio, pray for us. St. Juan Diego, pray for us. Bl. Sor María Romero Meneses, pray for us. St. John Bosco, pray for us. Bl. Oscar Arnulfo Romero, pray for us. St. Martin de Porres, pray for us. St. Rose of Lima, pray for us.
St. James the Apostle, patron of pilgrim travelers, pray for us.
St. Kateri Tekakwitha, young faithful witness from our native land, pray for us.
St. Therese of Lisieux, patroness of missionaries, advocate for youth, pray for us.
Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati, patron of young adults, man of the beatitudes, pray for us.
St. John Paul II, founder and patron of World Youth Day, pray for us.
