CHANGE OF SUMMER MASS SCHEDULE

Within a few weeks, summer vacations will begin, and many families will leave Key Biscayne to take a break elsewhere. Since during these months the Mass attendance is reduced, beginning Sunday, June 9th, until September 1st, 2013, the Mass schedule will be as follows: 9:00 A.M., 11:00 A.M., and 6:00 P.M. (English)

12:45 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. (Spanish)

This of course combines the Masses at 8:30 am and 10:00 am into only one at 9:00 am. At the same time, the Mass at 11:30 am will be advanced to 11:00 am. The Saturday Mass will continue as always at 5:30 pm. On September 8th, we will return to the regular schedule.

Sunday’s Message John 16: 12-15

THE MYSTERY OF THE HOLY TRINITY

For many people, speaking of the Trinity is equal to using incomprehensible words, and surrounding the whole subject in confusion and mystery. The principal mission of Christ, God incarnate, who became for us Word and Message, is to make known with love and clarity the mystery of God. He is a God near to us, who is One, yet reveals Himself

in three Persons, who comes to us by means of three different manifestations, thus realizing three distinct missions.

All of this, which is apparently very difficult to understand with human reason alone, is easily perceived and lived within our heart, which, in addition, is many times a mystery to these same human beings. When we know and meditate on all that Jesus has told us about God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit, we cannot confound God with some omnipotent Person, self-sufficient, distant and solitary, far removed from the world and unconcerned with human affairs.

For me, it is perfectly clear that God is a Father, One who loves us like a father or mother, and who wants us to love each other like brother/sisters and friends. And those who have experienced this love in their hearts and in their relationships can understand, in accordance with Christ's revelation about God's love for us, that He is our Father, our Brother, our cherished Friend. Therefore, the mystery of the Trinity is not a theological abstraction of God, but rather a revelation, intimate and loving, of the divine existence.

God is the Father, the Father of Jesus Christ, our Father, but also our Creator, who has given us life, and made us in His image. He has surrounded us with benevolence and compassion, and has placed at our disposal the entirety of creation that we might enjoy it, care for it, develop it, and thus achieve happiness. And He has reserved for us the supreme bliss of eternal happiness in Heaven.

God is the Son, our Brother, who has decided to be one of us, and become man in the womb of Mary, and has desired to share our same destiny: our joys and sorrows, dreams and fears. He goes before us, showing us the way, and giving us an example. He illuminates the meaning of life by His resurrection, a foretaste of ours, and the foundation of our hope and of the joy of life.

God is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, who is Gift, and who enriches us with all the treasures of His being. Because of this Spirit, we are the image of God, we are His visible presence, His infinite kindness, and His providence, which cares for everyone and everything.

PastorPastor’’s Notess Notes

“The Spirit of truth will guide you to all truth. He will glorify Me. Everything that the Father has is Mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is Mine and declare it to you”.

Today’s feast of the Trinity calls us to recognize the fingerprints of God in every molecule of creation, in every moment of inspiration, in every work of peace. Faith begins with realizing the Spirit of God breathing life into all that exists.

Faith then compels us to continue the creative work of God, to embrace and be embraced by the love of God that envelopes every wonder of nature and every manifestation of compassion.

May God, the Giver and the Author of everything that is good, give us the wisdom to discover the goodness in all things and make faithful and hope-filled use of that goodness to transform our lives and world in the life and love of God.

realizando tres misiones distintas.

9:00 A.M., 11:00 A.M. y 6:00 P.M. (English) 12:45 P.M. y 7:30 P.M.
