In this internationally acclaimed invitational, premier athletes from across North America will be competing in Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding and Ladies Barrel Racing in fi ve Rodeo performances, as they look to win a total of $328,000 in cash prizes and the coveted championship title. Matt Lait – Cayley, ABMatt began bucking horses when he was 13 years old and he has not looked back since. His dedication has re-cently paid off, as he was crowned the 2013 Canadian Bareback champion and is currently ranked 9th overall in Canada.

Caleb Bennett – Morgan, UTRaised in a rodeo family, Caleb started riding bucking horses at a young age, but it was only after four years of college that Caleb really started to set his mind on Bareback riding as a career. Raised in a rodeo family, Caleb started riding bucking horses at a young age. The now 25-year-old 2013 Calgary Stampede champion is currently ranked 3rd in the world and doesn’t plan to slow down anytime soon.

Saddle Bronc Competitors to Watch:

Rylan Geiger – Duchess, AB24-year-old Rylan is currently ranked 2nd in the Canadian Pro Rodeo Circuit and was the 2013 Canadian champion for Saddle Bronc. Having grown up on a ranch in Saskatchewan with a father who rode Bareback, it comes as no surprise that Rylan is rapidly emerging as a bona fi de rodeo star.

Heith DeMoss – Hefl in, LASince he was a kid, Heith always knew he wanted to ride bucking horses. Currently ranked 12th in the Pro Rodeo World Standings and the reigning RodeoHouston Saddle Bronc Champion, Heith plans to lay it all out on the line in Cloverdale.

Bull Riding Competitors to Watch:

Trey Benton – Rock Island, TXThe Texas native placed 1st overall at the 2013 Cloverdale Rodeo and you can bet he will be back in the ring this year to defend his title. Trey started riding sheep and calves at the early age of fi ve and then worked his way up to riding horses bareback. With all that hard work and dedication, it comes as no surprise that he is currently ranked 3rd in the world for Bull Riding.

Chad Besplug – Claresholm, ABChad won his fi rst Professional Canadian Bull Riders title at age 16 and he hasn’t looked back since. With a fi rst overall fi nish at the Calgary Stampede in 2012 and two Canadian Bull Riding championships under his belt, Chad has distinguished himself as one of the most successful bull riders in the world. Despite his accomplished career and his plans to return to university, Chad is not ready to hang up his saddle just yet. Between mentoring up-and-coming stars, producing the fi rst ever “Chad Besplug Invitational” in his hometown of Claresholm, AB, and competing for a third Canadian championship, Chad doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.

Britany Diaz – Desdemona, TX Born on a ranch in South Central Dakota, Britany has been Team Roping since high school, and with her Saddle Bronc riding husband by her side, Britany’s love of horse riding continues to grow. Since placing 1st at the 2011 Cloverdale Rodeo and and her current 11th place ranking in the Pro Rodeo World Standings, Britany has defi nitely earned herself a solid reputation on the Barrel Racing circuit.

Specialty Act – Robyn & RyleighPerforming alongside big names like Big & Rich, Brad Paisley and Aaron Pritchett, Langley sisters Robyn & Ryleigh are ready to get the Cloverdale crowds stomping their cowboy boots to their catchy country fl avour. The up-and-coming country/pop singing duo recently returned from a trip to Nashville and are all set to perform, record and release their new single, which you’ll have stuck in your head all rodeo long.

Kids will try to beat ‘Skully the Bad Cowboy’, by working through challenges and entering to win prizes, with one ultimate prize being awarded at the end. The Agri Zone in the Ice Rink complex has cow milking demonstrations, a little farmer’s exhibit, and educational displays to teach children about farming and agriculture.
