It is available in 595mm x 595mm and 610mm x 610mm

sizes with different designs and thicknesses. These les

impart an exquisite appearance to the building interiors

along with funconal benefit of noise reducon. Unlike

ordinary les, Hilux les are very strong and durable.

Hilux range of tiles are a novel

innovation in the world of

interiors and exhibit all the core

properties of calcium silicate

boards.

Sound.It is

all around us.

We are so used to it and we take it for granted. We use sound to evoke certain emoonal states

in us or amongst our audience.

But what is the right

recipe for sound ?

It depends on what and how much we want to hear or want our audience to hear. Herein lies the science of architectural acouscs - which is useful, inspiring and

helping in creang the right ambience in spaces we design.

Sound can be or too high too low,

it can be or it can be so shrill,

it can be or it can be soothing annoying.

Various measurement parameters have been defined by the architectural, building and sound industries to assess

and measure the intelligibility, reverberaon and blocking of sound.

Noise Reducon Coefficient (NRC) and

Sound Transmission Class (STC) are two such measures.

At Ramco Hilux, our acousc experts have evolved a range of ceiling les which not only address varying

acousc needs but also offer a choice of designs and paerns.

Hilux – Range of Acoustic Tiles

Hilux acousc les, being perforated and backed by non-woven

cloth in black/white colour, offer excellent acousc funconality

with NRC (Noise Reducon Coefficient) value of 0.70 – 0.85 with an

infill of 50/100 mm Glass wool at 48Kg/m³ density.

Main System:198mm thick metal stud paron comprising of a composite framework which includes a 146mm branded stud of 0.55mm thick and having two unequal flanges of 48 and 50mm each placed at 610mm centre to centre in 148mm branded floor and ceiling channel with two equal flanges of 32mm each fixed to floor and ceiling at 600mm centre, with the help of nylon sleeves and wood screws. Two layers of 12mm thick Hilux Calcium Silicate Boards are then screw fixed to the studs and channels at 200mm centres on both sides of the framework, with 25mm long Hilux Self drilling and tapping screws. G.I. Sheet 1.0mm thick is placed on first layer of boards and screw fixed to the studs and channel through second layer of boards with 35mm long Ramco Hilux self drilling & tapping screws having Phillips head with under head cuer at 200mm centres. The board's joints are to be staggered to avoid through passage in each layer.

Insulaon100 mm thick (Density - 48 Kg/m³) Glass wool mat is to be placed in the cavity of the paron before board fixing on the other side of the paron.

Joinng and FinishingFinally edges of the boards are to be jointed and finished to have a flush look with specially formulated Hilux joinng compound and 48mm wide self-adhesive fibre tape. Cement primer (Oil/Water based) to be provided on enre surface before puy/painng.

Note: Acousc sealant is provided on the perimeter of the paron and also with any type of opening like doors, windows etc. A horizontal branded intermediate channel of web 45mm and an equal flanges of 15mm each of 0.9mm thickness is to be provided for every 3 feet level on both sides, if the paron height exceeds the board length to provide edge support to the board.
