Ranking second in the world in farm output, the agricultural sector is the backbone of Indian Economy with significant contribution to the country's GDP. As on February 2018, it is estimated that over 58% of rural Indians depend on agriculture for their livelihood and this sector contributes around 17-18% to the country's GDP. The Indian food industry is also poised for huge growth which employs more than 50% of the workforce in India, owing to increase in its contribution to world food trade every year. The industry and agriculture have linkages which need to be reinforced for having an integrated economy with special farmer-industry partnership. Thus it is required to educate and equip farmers with latest technologies and farm practices. Agrovision is a combination of free Workshops, Exhibition & Conference which provides an excellent platform for the farmers & the agriculture industry to explore various opportunities.

The 4 day knowledge imparting movement is well attended by farmers from all parts of India. Started 10 years ago under the leadership of Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, Chief Patron, Agrovision, this event is growing both in magnitude and stature with each successive edition pointing towards a strong resolve to make it India's Largest Agri summit. The vision is to create a prosperous agrarian society where farmers are well informed about the latest practices and agriculture becomes a remunerative and attractive profession.
