1. Provision of Student Login Information

Your all login account credentials such as Domain login (Computer Login) , Courseweb and Email are

provided by the IT Services Department. Please follow login procedure as given below. Passwords of all

the accounts must be changed at first login due to security reasons.

1.1. Domain Account(Computer Login)

Purpose:This account is used to log in to

Computers at computer laboratories at SLIIT Malabe Campus

Details of Account:

Example:

Username : itxxxxxxxx/bmxxxxxxxx/ enxxxxxxxx/arxxxxxxxx/qsxxxxxxxx (Your registration number)

Password : (National ID Number ) Ex: 972342532V Change the password when prompted.

1.2. Courseweb Account

Purpose:This account is used to log in to

Your learning management System http://courseweb.sliit.lk

Details of Account:

Example:

Username : Ex: itxxxxxxxx (Your registration number)

Password : (National ID Number ) Ex: 972342532V

Change the password

Note:TO RESET YOUR forgotten password -Click Forgotten your username or password

Enter your Email and click search


Click Continue and check your email to reset your password.


1.3. E-mail Accounts

Purpose:SLIIT provides one email account for both Microsoft 0365 Cloud and Google’s G-Suite Cloud.

All the mails sent to any of the above email address will be appeared in both inboxs.

Details of Email Account:

To access your offcial email use URL: http://itservices.sliit.lk using web browser and then select either

microsoft O365 or Google G-Suite Cloud to access your emails. ( or by seperately you can access them

via https://portal.office.com and https://www.gmail.com)

Ex:Your email address : [email protected]

Password: Same Domain login(Computer login) password

Ex: click 0365 and enter your email credentials to access the portal which has email and all

other microsoft Apps.


Ex: click GOOGLE and enter your email credentials to access the portal which has email

and all other Gmail Apps.

Note: Please note that you need to keep same password for computer login and Microsoft O365 email

account.If you set alias mail, please enter alias mail at both 0365 and Gmail.

(Once you change the computer login password it will sync with the Microsoft O365 email within

10mnts-15mnts)


1.4. Cisco Networking Academy Login

Purpose:SLIIT provides access to Cisco Networking Academy program to learn its Cisco IT Essentials

Course.

Details of Cisco Academy Log in Account:

To Access Cisco IT Essesntials Course use URL: http://cisco.netacad.com click Log in

Then Click Redeem Seat Token

You will receive an Email to register. Check your my.sliit.lk email account through http://itservices.sliit.lk

In received email – Click confirm email Address then you will be ask to enter details to register with

cisco.netacad.com site.

You will see your cisco Class after successful registration.

1.5. Microsoft Imagine Academy Login

Purpose:SLIIT provides access to Microsoft Imagine Academy program to learn its

Microsoft Academy Courses.

Details of Cisco Academy Log in Account:

To Access Office 365 courses use URL: https://imagineacademy.microsoft.com click Sign in


Click office 365 account to access your microsoft Imagine academy

Enter your Microsoft 0365 email ID and password to access learning plans

Enter enrollement code given by instructor to access microsoft learning plan

2. ITSupport Desk

Student can personnaly visit Student IT Service Desk at 4th Floor,SLIIT Malabe on following scheduld service times.

3. SLIIT Student Internet Access Portal

Each SLIIT student is given a seperate monthly internet data volume* to access your learning material.

Use your Computer login Credentials to access this facility. Check more information, access Instructions

on “Internet Quota Management Portal” link at Course web home page. This Service and usage data*

can be locally accessed by http://192.168.75.132:8090 .

4. Student Wifi Access (SLIIT BYOD)

Purpose: Student will see “SLIIT” SSID at wifi enabled areas.

Use your computer login credentials to access the wireless facility. When connected it will automatically

connect to internet as well. Check more information, access Instructions “SLIIT Wifi Settings” link at

Courseweb home page.

Note : For any inquries related to Malabe to IT contact ITSD Department on the 4th Floor[Ext: 3177

Malabe or Ext: 3172 Metro] or Log in your IT related problem via ITsupport Desk.


5. Microsoft DreamsPark Software Key Provision for student use

(Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology - Computer Science -

Microsoft Imagine Premium)

Students are eligible to get Microsoft software licenses free of charge. You will receive an email indicting

details of how to get software downloaded.

Click and open email received as below.

Click “Click here to complete your registration”


Click “Start Shopping” (Free)


Select Software you wish to download.

Click “Add to cart”


Click “Express Checkout”

Download Your Software (Activation Key is indicted below in the same page)


6. Install Office Professional Plus 2016 and other

1. Online installation of Microsoft office 2016 in your laptop or Home computer (for 5 PCs or

MACs,5 Tablets and 5 smartphones)

Go to Microsoft 0365 Portal and click Install office 2016
