About the Summit
On the occasion of the first ever World Youth Skills Day on 15th July 2015, the Ministry of Skill
Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India launched “SKILL INDIA” Campaign,
coined by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The launch of the Skill India Campaign is
an important milestone towards achieving the objective of skilling with Speed, Scale and Standards across
the country. The first integrated national policy for developing skills and promoting entrepreneurship at a
large scale was also introduced. The objective of the National Policy on Skill Development and
Entrepreneurship, 2015 is to provide an umbrella framework to all skilling activities being carried out
within the country, to align them to common standards and link the skilling with demand centres.

Global Summit Objectives
Recognizing the imperative need for entrepreneurship and skill development, the Global Summit aims to
provide a broad platform to Trainers/Promoters, Research Scholars, Policy makers, Educational
Institutions, Entrepreneurs, NGOs, community
based organizations, private training institutions
and other stakeholders to share experiences in
the area of Entrepreneurship and Skill
Development prevalent in country, and develop
an all-inclusive approach to use best practices
globally. The objectives of Global Summit are:
Ø To learn Entrepreneurship as completion of
Human Resource Development process
Ø To understand Entrepreneurship as a powerful
tool for Women Empowerment
Ø To analyze relevance of Entrepreneurship
Education in Socio-economic transformation of the country
Ø To understand the various Global Policies and Innovation to Foster Skill Development
Ø To understand the Role of Social Media for Promoting Entrepreneurship
Another key aspect that needs to complement a successful skill strategy is entrepreneurship, which can
be a key source of employment generation and economic development in India. Given the changed
landscape in the country, entrepreneurship opportunities have emerged as an important source of
meeting the aspirations of the youth. An all-inclusive approach to strengthen the entrepreneurship
development scenario in the country which boosts competent and globally competitive entrepreneurs,
needs to be encouraged.
Keeping in view the “Skill India” initiative, NIESBUD is organizing two days Global Summit on
“Entrepreneurship and Skill Development” on 18-19 September 2015. The Global Summit brings together
the most innovative and influential leaders from industry, government, training institutions, social media
and education with the opportunity to exchange information and best practices and SEEE into future-
Skills, Entrepreneurship, Employment and Enterprise.

The two value packed days of Global Summit will include sessions and panel discussions by distinguished policymakers from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Embassies, Training Institutions, Trainers, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders and other experts.
The Global Summit aims to bring together academicians, researchers, NIESBUD trained ITEC/SCAAP participants and experts from all over the world to come together, interact and exchange views and discuss the major issues related with latest trends and insights in creating, developing and improving the methodologies for skill development. The Summit aims to serve as a forum between Training Institutions, trainers, leaders, entrepreneurs, managers, academics, consultants and re-searchers to exchange information, knowledge and experience.
For Whom
Papers are invited from Business Leaders, Trainers, Professionals, Policy makers, Consultants, Academicians, Researchers and Students on any of the Summit theme, but not limited to those only. If your contribution lies outside any of these areas but connected to the Summit theme, your submission is welcome. All accepted papers will be subjected to a blind review process and published in the form of Summit Proceedings with an ISBN number. Papers must be in Microsoft Word version with the specific Font: Times New Roman, Font Size: 12. Limited accommodation on sharing basis is available at NIESBUD Noida Faculty Guest House on first come,
first serve basis for outstation candidates who will register for the summit. The rates are Rs 1500/- per
night per person on Twin sharing basis.

The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) was setup on 6th
July 1983, by the then Ministry of Industry and is now under Ministry of Skill Development &
Entrepreneurship, Government of India. The basic objectives of the Institute are: pro- motion and
development of micro, small and medium enterprises including enhancement of their competitiveness
through different interventions. The major activities of the Institute include Evolving effective Training
Strategies and Methodology, standardizing Model Syllabi for Training various target Groups, formulating
Scientific Selection Procedures, developing Training Aids, Manual, Tools Facilitating and Supporting
Central / State/Other Agencies in Organizing Entrepreneurship Developing Programmes, which help in
developing an entrepreneurial culture in the society.
