Having an experience of 20 years in the field of labor law and patent filling, he provided students with immense knowledge of this field. Information regarding product's patent, trademark and copyright acts as well as filing techniques for the same with government and international organizations was delivered by him. As per him a person or a firm suffering from theft of product's copyright can claim its rights through the civil, criminal and administrative court remedy. An innovation must be unique, undisclosed, useful and should have industrial application to be patented. He also discussed about Institute of Industrial Entrepreneurs, ISO certification, Labor law and Patent drafting. The main idea was about Trademark Act 1999 and Copyright Act 1957 which are renewable after 10 years. Industrial intellectual properties are goodwill patents and trademark and the non industrial is copyright. Patent must be disclosed to the government and the trade secrets are not needed to be disclosed. Various patent cases were illustrated by him which were Apple vs. Samsung and Bajaj vs. TVS. Thereafter he also discussed several websites which can be used for patent and copyright filing which are www.copyright.gov.in www.googlepatent.com , and www.ipindia.in. A GST and career guidance seminar was conducted at St. Vinsent Palloti School Indore by CA Harish Kothari and Dr Yogesh Pandya on 30-01-2018 for more than 250 school students. In the interactive session of 2hrs, the students were exposed to current Goods and Services TAX (GST) rules and procedures in India. They were also given the introduction about the importance of Skill education initiatives at Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore.

The Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Bombay hosted the 13th edition of Entrepreneurship Summit (E-Summit) 2018: 'A Zenith of Innovation' on 27th-28th January. E-Summit 2018 is the place where prominent voices from India's startup ecosystem will converge for the two-day summit. Prominent speakers at this year's E-Summit include Former Chairman of SBI Arundhati Bhattacharya, Divyank Turakhia, Country Head of LinkedIn Akshay Kothari, VP of Netix Michael Spiegelman, CEO & Co-Founder of Ola Cabs Bhavish Aggarwal, Indian Author & Business Coach Shiv Khera and Founder of AIB Tanmay Bhat to name a few.

To cater to the overall development of the students, the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences launched various activity clubs with an aim to provide the students with a haven, away from their day to day routine. A place where they shall be free to pursue their own interests to their heart's content. The students are free to be a part of the literary and photography clubs which play a major role in the enhancement of co-curricular skills of the students.The literary club offers a competing platform and promises to cultivate confidence, self-efficacy and logical thinking. The club exists as a platform for intellectual information sharing and in turn also hones the students overall personality. The club plans to conduct events like quizzes, debates, open mics, creative writing competitions, and street-theatre etc. wherein the students can enjoy and learn at the same time. The events in the club are decided based on the creative inputs of the members themselves, so as to provide a mind boggling experience to all. The photography club exists to serve a multitude of purposes; it exposes the members to art of photography and aims to turn the hobby and passion into something that will benefit the students. It helps use their photography in a meaningful way: students can showcase their talents by using photography as a medium to communicate.Besides both the clubs, German and Spanish classes are introduced by the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences to enhance cross-cultural communication abilities of the students and to make them globally competent.

A two days Faculty Development Program (FDP) was conducted by the school of Automobile and Manufacturing Engineering from 16th to 17th Feb 2018 on Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing. Dr Yashwant Modi from JPUT Guna was the expert and resource person. On the first day, theory session related to Additive manufacturing has been conducted by the expert. On the second day of the program Vice Chancellor Dr Kailash Shrivastava gave a talk on Disruption in the Printing technology. The hands on session on CAD modelling and 3D printing were conducted on the second day. Around 40 faculties and students from different colleges participated in the program.

Android Application development: It was a 2 days workshop, during which students learnt image transmission using android studio.
