Proposed Member Meeting dates Meeting times and locations to be announced on the website and on the amta-nv website and on amta-nv’s Facebook Group. Please join those sites to get the most up-to-date information on our chapter and upcoming events. Object of the Game: Collect as many “properties” as you can by correctly answering weekly-posted questions. Bring your
“properties” to the Annual amta-Nevada General Meeting and place them on the board spaces. Each of up to 8 board spaces will have a drawing for massage therapy-related prizes, courtesy of our Sponsors. You may win some great prizes that will enhance your knowledge even more or your massage practice! All AMTA-NV Chapter members are welcome to participate. How to Play: Weekly, beginning April 1st, 2012, you will receive an email (as a Nevada chapter member) inviting you to partici-
pate in answering an ANATOMY essay question**. There is only one correct answer—judge’s(s’) decisions are final as to the an-swer and who wins the Weekly prize. The Weekly Prize Winner is drawn at random from all the correct answers received for that week’s Correct Answer to that week’s Weekly Question. Answers and Weekly Winner’s first name/last name initial will be published on the AMTA-NV website. The Property cards and Weekly Prize will be mailed USPS to your AMTA address on file.
**When you receive your weekly email invitation with the question, you must Reply to the email address from which you were sent the contest email. Each participant will be sent a Property card to HOLD ON TO.

He is the owner of Educated Touch in Gresham, Oregon, (an NCBTMB-approved Provider) and appeared as a Guest Presenter at the 2011 AMTA-NV State Convention facilitating his professional anatomy tour class at Bodies...the Exhibition. He teaches massage courses at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon, and manages is massage therapy practice. Thousand Petaled Lotus, Michelle Viesselman LMT Michelle is providing anatomy questions for Let’s Play Monopoly! She is the owner of Thousand Petaled Lotus Continuing Education for Massage Therapists in Las Vegas, Nevada, (an NCBTMB-approved Provider) and has taught at AMTA-NV State Conventions over the years. She currently is 2nd Vice-President of the NV Chapter and instructs massage therapy students at Nevada Career Institute. She also manages her own massage therapy practice in Las Vegas, NV.
During the annual meeting of the Nevada Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) this June, there will be an election for the following positions of the Nevada Chapter Board of Directors: President, 1st Vice President, 3rd Vice President, Secre-tary and Delegates (2) and up to 4 alternate delegates. There are also positions available on some of the committees: Education, Newsletter, Web Site, Legislative, Student Recruitment and Finance . If you are interested in donating your time and talents, we would love for you to volunteer. The time required is minimal and can easily fit most schedules. In addition, those volunteers who do contribute their time by serving at least six months, attending meetings, com-pleting assigned tasks and attending our State Chapter meeting may be eligible to attend the National AMTA Convention with an re-imbursement for registration, travel and lodging not to exceed $1,000.00 per qualifying volunteer or as determined by the Board of Directors based on chapter finances. Note: only one volunteer per year may be eligible and will be selected in a random drawing. Chapter President may attend AMTA National Convention and shall attend Presidents Council and all trainings offered for chapters schedule permitting reasonable and actual expenses covered by the chapter to a maximum of $2,000.00. Delegates (2) will be com-pensated for travel and meals in addition to registration to a maximum of $1,000 for each Delegate. Additionally, one chapter officer may attend CVOP (Chapter Volunteer Orientation Program) training that is paid for by AMTA Na-tional. Complete job descriptions for the offices of President, Vice-Presidents and Secretary and Delegate positions can be found on the AMTA Nevada Chapter webpage: http://amta-nv.org/volunteer/interested All positions on the Nevada Chapter Board of Directors and as a committee chair or committee member require that the applicant be a Professional Member of the AMTA in good standing and to have signed the AMTA Chapter Volunteer Code of Conduct. Nominations for the Board positions of President, 1st , 2nd and 3rd Vice Presidents, Secretary, and Treasurer (where applicable) will be reviewed by the Commission on Candidacy committee, and brought before the Chapter for voting at the annual meeting. The volunteers for the committee positions will be reviewed by the new board after they are elected in June, 2012, and notified regard-ing the first meeting. Allegiance and Diligence: While volunteering for my AMTA Chapter, I will conduct myself in a professional manner
in all activities related to AMTA. Duty of Leadership: I will promote, support, and follow the AMTA Mission and strategic plan, as they pertain to my Chapter.* make myself aware of AMTA policies pertaining to Chapter financial reporting obligations.* become famil-iar with the bylaws, policies, Chapter standing rules, and other documents pertaining to the operations of the AMTA.* devote the time necessary to stay current and to participate in Chapter board meetings and conference calls. Duty of Obedience: I will ensure that my actions are within the scope of authority as it has been delegated to the Chapters. This requires:* Good faith, responsibility and diligence.* Notifying the National Chapter Relations Depart-ment, if I become aware of any activity that is outside the scope of authority that has been delegated to the chapter. Duty of Loyalty: I will act in the interest of the entire membership and not allow my personal interests to prevail over the interests of AMTA or my Chapter. Duty of Care: I will be diligent and prudent in managing the AMTA's affairs at the Chapter level.
