When it comes to creating wealth, it’s rarely enough to just work hard. Your money has to be working hard for you as well, and that requires investing.

Over the long run, the U.S. stock market has been one of the best tools for wealth creation, but it is remarkably inefficient. Since 1935, the S&P 500 buy-and-hold investor has spent almost 2/3’s of the time losing money to bear markets and struggling back up to break even. Only 1/3 of the time were they actually making money.1 Add in the emotional impact of watching one’s portfolio drop by 20%, 30%, 50% or more, and it’s anything but an easy ride.

It doesn’t have to be that way. Crow Chaser is a unique investment approach that looks for ways to make money in both up and down markets. Over the last 11 years, the strategy has outperformed the S&P 500 net of fees in a real money tracking account.2 Naturally, there can be no guarantee that future returns will mirror this performance, but Crow Chaser, by design, offers the potential for a more reliable path to wealth building.

Crow Chaser was developed by Scarecrow Trading, Inc. in 2003 and verified since 2005 by Theta Research LLC. Performance data represents real returns net of management and trading fees, not hypothetical data.

Crow Chaser focuses on one market — the Nasdaq 100, utilizing the Rydex NASDAQ 100® index funds. n An index captures market movement and direction in a

much more predictable manner than a single stock or portfolio of stocks.

n The volatility of the Nasdaq 100 makes it an ideal trading instrument.

n We don’t have to be experts on the entire financial market, just the Nasdaq 100.

Crow Chaser responds to market conditions. n Every day, the financial market is evaluated using 17 proprietary

decision models to determine asset position – long, short or cash. n Every day, Crow Chaser strives to assure that client portfolios take

advantage of market opportunities and minimize the risk of losses.

Consensus within the models guides decisions.n No one methodology is accurate enough to risk one’s capital. By using

17 individual models, Crow Chaser takes a multi-factor approach.n Each signal is given a weighting and evaluated in one of two

composites which indicate go long or go short. Crow Chaser looks for agreement at the composite level.

n Emotion is removed from the process and assets are managed on the basis of what is actually happening in the financial markets.

When consensus is signaled within the composites, Crow Chaser will use 2x leveraged NASDAQ 100 funds to increase potential returns. Accounts may be positioned in cash during periods where no clear consensus is reached.

Not every trade will be profitable and there will be periodic drawdowns. But as of the end of 2015, Crow Chaser outperformed the S&P 500 nine out of 11 years. To best experience the strategy’s potential, a minimum holding period of 3-5 years is recommended.

Strategic Income Advisors was founded by investment veteran Marvin L. Mills in Escondido, California to provide portfolio management for individuals. Marv has been involved in the financial industry for more than 48 years, retiring in 2007 only to return to the industry in 2011 with his firm, Strategic Income Advisors.

For years, Marv had worked to identify promising money managers and place assets with them. He

originally met Len Fox, the developer of Crow Chaser, at an investor meeting over a decade ago. While he was impressed with Len’s intelligence and approach, at that time Crow Chaser did not have a long enough track record for Marv to use his investment approach. Today, Crow Chaser has an impressive 11+ year track record including bull and bear markets and is offered through Strategic Income Advisors.

Every evening after the market closes, we at Scarecrow Trading sit down and update all our market data. We believe that each day the market provides hints about what it may do in the very near future. That evening we update our systems. These systems determine where our client’s money needs to be placed by the close of the next day to be in the best position to both protect and grow a client’s assets. Then we execute that plan.

We do this, every single day.

Scarecrow Trading’s founder, Len Fox, holds a bachelor’s degree in technical management and an MBA in international business from Regis University in Denver. He worked for AT&T’s tech divisions for over 25 years, steadily moving up the management ranks while designing investment strategies for his personal portfolio. In 2003 he founded Scarecrow Trading. Since Scarecrow strategies started being tracked by Theta Research, Crow Chaser has dominated the ranks of the top performers, with returns ranging from a loss of -11.5% in 2008, his worst year, to its best year, a 78% gain in 2009.

Through Strategic Income Advisors, investors gain the direct involvement and oversight of Crow Chaser’s developer combined with the experienced back office support, reporting, client interface and compliance expertise of Marvin Mills and his firm.

Our objective is straightforward. Create a win-win situation where investors benefit directly from a top-ranked active management investment program and the daily oversight of a man we see as one of the great undiscovered investment managers of our day.

To benefit from the Crow Chaser strategy, contact Strategic Income Advisors at 760-480-0946 for new client information and account forms.

“For years, people have discovered Crow Chaser on tracking services such as TimerTrac and Theta Research and asked if Scarecrow Trading could manage their portfolio directly. In 2015, I reached an agreement with Strategic Income Advisors to take on a second role as an investment advisor representative with the firm and implement Crow Chaser directly for clients through SIA, mirroring the performance of the tracking account.” Len Fox, President

Scarecrow Trading

“I thought I was retired. But then my work brought me in contact with a group of people who had lost significant savings in 2008-2009 and were struggling to figure out how to make ends meet. I knew I could help.” Marvin Mills, President

Strategic Income Advisors

Strategic Income Advisors (SIA) is a registered investment adviser that maintains a principal place of business in the State of California and is registered in the states of Colorado, Michigan and Texas. SIA may only transact business in those states in which it is registered or qualifies for a corresponding exemption from such requirements. For additional information about SIA, please consult the Firm’s Form ADV Part 2 disclosure documents, the most recent versions of which are available on the SEC’s Investment Adviser Public Disclosure website at www.adviserinfo.sec.gov.

All returns represented are net of all fees including SIA’s highest management fee of 2.5% per year as disclosed in the Form ADV Part 2. Actual investment management fees vary by individual client account, but generally range between 1.95% and 2.5% of the value of assets under management. The Crow Chaser  strategy may involve above average portfolio turnover which could negatively impact the net after-tax gain experienced by an individual client.   Portfolio performance is the result of the application of the Crow Chaser investment process. It does not reflect any investor’s actual experience with owning, trading, or managing an actual investment account. Actual performance of client portfolios may differ materially due to the timing related to additional client deposits or withdrawals and the actual deployment and investment of a client portfolio, the length of time various positions are held,

the client’s objectives and restrictions, and fees and expenses incurred by any specific individual portfolio.

Crow Chaser invests in leveraged and “inverse” mutual funds. These funds may seek to enhance returns through the use of various financial instruments such as swaps, short sales and options. For any period beyond one day, the total return of an inverse fund will not be the exact opposite of the total return of the index to which it is benchmarked. Due to the increased risk of leveraged and indexed funds over time, these programs are suitable for investors who are able to withstand significant volatility and do not foresee the need to liquidate their investment for a minimum of three years. Mutual funds are subject to market volatility and investor shares may be worth more or less than their original cost at time of redemption.

The Nasdaq-100 Index includes 100 of the largest domestic and international non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market based on market capitalization. The Index reflects companies across major industry groups including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, retail/wholesale trade and biotechnology. It does not contain securities of financial companies including investment companies.

The benchmark for Crow Chaser is Standard & Poor’s 500 (S&P 500) Index with all applicable dividends reinvested, which is widely regarded as the best single gauge of large-cap U.S. equities. The index includes 500 leading companies and captures approximately 80% coverage of available market capitalization.
