Down the Up Staircase By Geoffrey Hoppe

At the recent DreamWalker Life School in Estes Park, Colorado, Adamus told the group of nearly 200 Shaumbra that they were moving a tremendous amount of energy. It could be felt in the laughter, music and messages of the event. But Adamus cautioned that this was only the beginning. Huge volumes of energy would continue to move in the days and weeks following the gathering. He cautioned that it could cause disruptions and physical discomforts.

Isn’t this going down the up staircase? You would think that everyone would be in a state of bliss after three days of DreamWalker Life, one of the best Shaumbra

events ever. Ideally they would go back home, kiss their loved ones, clean the garage while humming some Yoham tunes, and waltz into their office the next day on a cloud of happiness.

The fact is that when volumes of energy are moved as they were at DreamWalker Life, there are side effects. Reading the post-workshop surveys I noticed that many people were very tired even though they were filled with energy during the gathering. Some found it very challenging to go back to the their worlds, and es-pecially their jobs. They felt like they didn’t quite belong there in the same way. Aspects came a-visiting for other attendees after the event, chiding them about their lofty new enlightenments while reminding them of their real-life problems. Many even report flu-like symptoms in the days following an energy-packed event.

And much like the Mystery Schools of the past, a few arguments erupted amongst friends after DreamWalker Life. This really affected me, especially after the in-credible high we all experienced during our days together. Why does this type of thing happen after one of the finest Crimson Circle events ever?

er Life School. I’ve seen it happen after most of the consciousness-breakthrough events over the years. Together with the attendees we create a bonfire of en-ergy. People have amazing personal experiences dur-ing our days together. I can literally feel the energies move, clearing out the old and bringing in new levels of consciousness and sovereignty. The hugging and joy are contagious. The energy moves up and up and up the spiral staircase of enlightenment.

But then something happens. As the energies soak in and Shaumbra go back to their lives, the second wave of energies hit. It’s one thing to experience the first wave in the safe space of the workshop surround by music, Adamus and hundreds of kindred souls. It is quite another thing to bring it home to your everyday life. Here is where the real work is done. Now is the time for the deep integration. It’s time to do the bio-logical and mental shifting. And it’s the opportunity to make the shifts in the very ruts and routines and chal-lenges you’ve been trying to break through.

This is the real classroom, much more than the actual Shaumbra gathering. This is where it happens. The workshop is just the catalyst to effect changes in your reality. It gives you the energy boost to walk back into your old life and command changes. But it’s also the time of disruptions because… the energy is moving.

As a channeler, I experience an interesting phenom-enon the day after a big workshop. A feeling of sad-ness comes over me. This used to bother me because I didn’t “think” this should happen. I tried to overcome it but it didn’t work. So why the sadness? Well, after being in such high and intense energies, and after be-ing open to the angelic realms during the channels, it’s hard to come back to the everyday world. In the chan-nel state, the higher and more loving potentials are clearer. It’s easier to see the blessings of life and the good in people. The day after a workshop I come back to reality, the veil and the denser forms of energy. The sadness come from, “Why can’t every day be like it was in the workshops.” To make matters worse I usu-ally have to fly somewhere the next day, and airports can be a real down staircase if you know what I mean.

The sadness usually goes away in a day or so, and Shaumbra report that their symptoms of tiredness or agitation usually balance out in a few days. The flus, colds and headaches pass within a short time, and everything is back to normal.

Wrong! Nothing is back to the way it was! It just takes

us about 3-5 days to fully integrate the new energies we have created. The body needs some time to release old toxins and energies, the mind needs some time to adjust to the new You, and the people around you need some time to get energetically comfortable with your new presence. You didn’t lose what you gained at the workshop. Instead, you brought it back with you but your old reality needed the opportunity to adjust to the new you. The second wave of energy had to do its thing in your life. It adjusted to or changed everything from your relationships to the car you drive to the pillow you sleep on. In other words, there is a lot of work to be done back at your reality house.

So the next time Adamus says we’ve moving a lot of energy during a workshop, take note. Things WILL change when you get back home. Allow for a few days (or maybe weeks) of clearing and shifting, take a few good deep breaths, and then continue joyfully up the spiral staircase into your enlightenment. Something hap-pened, not only during the workshop but also in your life.

Love has intrigued and captivated us for as long as we have felt it. More songs and poems have been written about love than any other subject, and more lifetimes have been shaped by love than any other element.

But what is love and how did it come to be?

Is love an energy or is it consciousness?

There are plenty of good spiritual books being published every day. Each week Miriam interviews a new consciousness author with in-depth questions related to their book.

Miriam is founder and manager of New Consciousness Review (www.ncreview.com). Her website offers hundreds of reviews and features the latest spiritual authors and books. It’s an excellent resource for researching new books and listening to archives of recent interviews.

Miriam was born in Venezuela, and moved to Boston as a child. She graduated from Boston University with a BA in Romance Languages and Psychology, and received an MA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Virginia.

Miriam had a corporate career on three continents, but an experience about 16 years ago turned her onto the spiritual path. She and her husband left top-level positions in finance and industry to become healers. On moving to the U.S. from England, Miriam became a publisher, and seven years later started New Consciousness Review in order to focus on what she loves best – the books and films that are adding more pieces to the puzzle of who we are, what we can be, and how it all works.

Trying to understand how we create our reality is a popular topic among Shaumbra these days. We’re learning to not blame other for our experiences and getting better at taking responsibility for our own creations, but all too often we just don’t quite get “how” it’s done. While there are many ways to create reality – conscious choice, breathing, acceptance, telling a new story (my personal favorite), and more – there is another particularly effective way that we might be overlooking. In fact it is the original creative “method” that got everything started, and it's called asking questions! (Remember that first question, “Who am I?”)

In Discovering Your Passion Tobias talked specifically about how questions create reality, explaining the different types of questions, where they come from, and how it all works. But even long before that, I realized that asking a question was usually a lot more effective at solving a problem than fussing about “what is.” For instance, if an item was misplaced, or worse yet absconded by a toddler, instead of complaining, “Oh, I can’t find my wallet, now I'm going to be late,” I learned to say “Now, where is my wallet?” Somehow, I discovered that asking the question magically provided the answer, and usually very quickly.

We generally tend to talk about “what is,” especially if it’s something we don’t exactly like. “Look at what's gone wrong! I don’t have enough money. My body is falling apart. No one understands me. I’ve lost my passion,” etc, etc. But instead of reinforcing those things, what if instead we asked questions that would bring the answers and solutions?

Oddly enough, there is often resistance when I put this option in front of people, and I believe it is either because deep down they actually like having things to complain about, or it's because they instinctively know that questions open the doors to the unknown. And of course the mind doesn’t want to let go of its (illusionary) sense of control. We actually like figuring things out because it feels productive, but when logic is the only means of finding solutions, we actually have access to a very limited spectrum of potentials. In fact, true solutions would eventually put the mind out of a job, so it allows in just enough clarity and new ideas to keep us hoping, without bringing any true change.

I’ve also noticed that we tend to stick to the small, unhappy questions such as, “Why is this happening to me? Why are things such a mess? Why isn't my life working out?” But then

these questions then start answering themselves, usually quite literally, which means bringing in even more of what we don’t want. So, since every question always generates an answer, why not use that to our advantage?

What do you really want to know?“Why is my life so hard?” or “How can I love myself now?”“Why don’t I have any passion?” or “What would I enjoy

doing right now?”“Why does my life suck?” or “What will help me

experience my enlightenment?”"Why are people so unkind to me?" or "How is this

serving me?"“Why did I create this mess?” or “Am I ready to let go of

this situation?”“What’s wrong with me?” or “What does my body want

right now?”I truly feel that asking conscious questions is an untapped

gold mine of creation, a forgotten law of manifestation, because there is something about a question that simply commands an answer, even in the most practical ways.

A couple of years ago I was in Austria, spending a few days with my dear friends Amir, Gerhard & Einat. We went to a park where a little bridge crossed over a large stream dashing down the mountain on its way to the lake. The view from the bridge was magical, so I took the camera out of my purse for a photo – and disaster stuck, seeming to unfold in slow motion. I watched with horror as the camera strap snagged the rental car keys, pulled them out of my purse and tossed them into the stream.

I shouted in panic as the keys disappeared into the rippling water, the others came running, and we dashed down the bank into the water. But there was no sign of the keys anywhere. Remembering a large piece of plastic was attached to them, I thought the key ring might be designed to float and frantically looked downstream. Then I decided we should go a few hundred meters through the park and see if they had washed out into the lake. Hurrying along, we scrambled through the brush to the stream outlet, looked out across the water, then began slowly wading through the cold water back toward the bridge, hunting for the keys in every nook and cranny we could see.

After 45 minutes of freezing our feet and finding nothing, we reluctantly gave up. Gerhard got on the phone to the

Shaumbra Heartbeat - continued from previous pagecar rental company, explained what happened, and was put on hold as they tried to figure out what to do. In the meantime, I felt heated annoyance at having to accept this state of affairs. “I’m a creator, dammit. I choose to find the damn keys!” I fumed. With anger building and hope fading, I went back into the water and continued looking, knowing there were a million places where they could have disappeared.

I was commanding them to appear, commanding myself to never do such a stupid thing again, fretting over how to deal with a locked car and a rental office many kilometers away (without knowing a word of German), and cringing at making us all late for a lunch appointment. There HAD to be a solution! Then it hit me: “Ask!” Standing in the water on a rock under the bridge, with tears of frustration threatening, I took a deep breath and asked from the bottom of my heart, “If I was my keys, where would I be??”

In that very moment something shifted, literally. My body turned, as if beckoned by a silent call. My eyes moved, not to another crevice where I thought something might have gotten stuck, but to a clear area near the bank of the stream. And there, under the fast moving water, I saw a flash of orange. “Probably just a leaf,” my mind said, “but I’ll check it out anyway.” Stepping closer, I saw a bit of black beside the orange and my heart beat a little faster. Reaching into water up to my elbow, I pulled out the keys!!

With a joyful shout I scrambled back up the bank, feeling triumphant and incredibly relieved. As we went on with our day, that moment solidified in my mind just how effectively questions can create.

I invite you to play with this. Next time something isn’t how you want it to be, take a deep breath and very consciously choose your question. Now, I do suggest to avoid “Why” questions as they seem to bring less desired results. Instead of asking “Why” something is how it is (do you really want more of the same?), try asking “How” to make it what you want. Your Self happily provides every answer, so make sure it’s one you want!

Oh, and one more thing: remember to keep a sense of humor about it all! I was feeling very proud of myself for solving my challenging situation until a couple days later during the Mystery School in Salzburg when Adamus declared:

"There’s something built into the human self. It needs problems so it can make solutions in order to fool itself into believing that it is a creator. How often do people literally create chaos where no chaos existed before, where no problems really have to be? And then they package it up, call it a problem or a challenge or an issue, but it’s really just being a victim. So then at some point they can resolve it and then say, “See, I am a creator.”

Ouch! I hadn’t told anyone else about that little escapade but apparently Adamus had noticed. Well, at least when you do find yourself in one of those self-created pickles, remember that you can simply ask your way out.
