    ANNOTATIONS:

    1. Entry angled in to promote privacy and curiousity from customers.2. Angles on storefront, in flooring materials, and in the shape of the display cabinets make use of the jewelry artist's shapes and forms.3. Storefront display integrated into glass curtain wall storefront.4. concrete display boxes hang on either wall throughout store to display different collections (old and new) and have lockable glass fronts on them.5. Concrete and wood paneled ring gardens with moss inset on the top provide individual display of new ring collections.6. Moss square covered back wall with wood slatted angled shelves that protrude outward and hold hair accessories and add an earth quality to the hard materials in the store.7. Custom designed and fabricated central display and POS cabinet with large glass encased jewelry display units house two employees each at a time.8. Ceiling formation derived from artist's hammered metal collection and houses 6" downlight wall washers for directed light on wall displays around the store.9. Large metal pendant lights hang over the ring gardens as well as different locations over the central display cabinet for non-shadow forming ambient lighting for viewing jewelry on.

    1. Storefront inspired by a yard where a dog might live with grass, a dog house entrance, fire hydrant, stop sign, and a tree.2. Spaces split up into type of merchandise as customers walk through the store with POS located directly in the middle of retail area.3. Clothing displayed in front for impulse buying with beds displayed next to them.4. Care items such as medicine, grooming products, and dental hygeine, located outside of the grooming and vaccine clinical room.5. Grooming and vaccine clinical room located in back corner with waiting area for owners.6. Cat product area located in back with large shelves for food bags and litter in addition to peg board and table display for toys and treats.7. Large solid wood shelves line the dog food area with peg boards and tables reserved for treats.8. Housing and training areas are located up front with dog houses and a large white resin tree for leashes to hang on. Additional display units show collars and training vests.9. Play toys are located throughout store and at checkout for impulse buys.10. Accoustical GWB cyclindrical panels with downlights hang overhead throughout the store in addition to large dome pendant luminaires.11. Downlight wall mounted luminaires hang over displays for added detail.

    ANNOTATIONS:

    1. Angled storefronts on both floors seek to bring customers to the front furniture display cabinets and then lead them into the store.2. Large curtain wall storefront displays show off the latest furniture that is available through the company.3. Gambion walls are located throughout the perimeter of the store on both levels and around the staircase. All rocks that make up the walls were reclaimed from the site during mall construction.4. Simple, clean materials with an absence of color put the furniture and the materials used in it on display.5. Home office furniture is located downstairs while bedroom, living room, diningroom, and outdoor furniture are located on the second floor.6. The office and bedroom furniture is surrounded by gambion walls to evoke a sense of privacy and the darkness or absence of light evokes calm, quiet emotions.7. The living room, dining room, and outdoor furniture is surrounded with clean white walls and 1.5' tall wheat grasses to evoke a sense of openness and daylight for awake and alert feelings.8. The glass staircase in the middle of the store surrounds an elevator shaft for accessibility purposes.9. Track lighting and recessed downlights are used for both ambient and directed lighting.10. A large skylight is located directly above the staircase to flood both levels of the store with natural daylight.11. The ceiling is exposed concrete from the underside of the roof with all HVAC items left exposed but painted white to provide a dramatic backdrop for the dark woods and metals used in the furniture below.

Herb gardens located throughout the restaurant to remind patrons of the fresh food and of the outdoors while dining.14. Shaded patio available for open air dining next to the fresh produce market.15. Storefront curtain walls have wood cladded planter boxes and steel wires suspended from window to window with glass planter orbs with herbs hanging down.16. Reclaimed branches used to create large sculptural object hanging on wall behind bar.17. Wall next to the booth seats is cladded in 1.5" walnut wood stripping.

    GENERAL NOTES:

    The bee is a vital insect for plants, animals, humans, and the world in which we live. Itallows so many different biological and environmental processes to take place each year.This exhibit is meant to teach visitors about the life, body, and biological processes of theinsect in a fun, educational, and interactive way.

    ANNOTATIONS:

    1. Entrance begins with floor garden and general information about bees and the environment in which they live.2. Signage points patrons into the right direction for the bee exhibit setups and for the sustainable farming practices setup.3. The honey bee dance will show visitors about the intricate communication process between honey bees for flower location and type of pollen.4. The bee habitat will display to visitors the type of environment that bees live in and how they create their home together.5. The pollination area will educate visitors on the process of pollinization and what it accomplishes for the bees and for humans.6. The bee hive area will have a hive located between 2 panes of glass in the curtain wall so that visitors are able to see the process in which bees create honey comb and produce honey.7. The honey hut will house a single employee and he will give out samples of diffent types of honey to visitors.8. The society and hierarchy area will provide information on the structure of the bee community and how they all work together to accomplish their goals.9. The types of bees area will have information about all the different types of bees in the world and their importance.10. The life cycle of the bee will describe the different stages of the bee's life and the actions that occur in each.11. The future of the bee display will describe the urgency of the bee's actions for humans and for the earth's natural processes and how their numbers are decreasing worldwide.It will also describe steps that humans can take to sustain them for future generations.12. The sustainable and organic farming areas will show methods for farming in ways thatare better for the earth.13. An elevator will lead visitors up to the green roof where they can view native Oregon plants.
