site, after megastar AmitabhBachchan.

With this feat, the actor, whorecently turned 50, has zoomedpast Prime Minister NarendraModi, who has 15.8 million fol-lowers on the micro-bloggingsite.

The actor joined Twitter onJanuary 3, 2010, and since thenhas known to be one of the mostactive users on the platform, reg-ularly tweeting special familyphotos, favourite film memories,poetry and philosophical quotes.

The superstar is known toengage with his fans across theglobe very closely with interac-tive chats.

On his 50th birthday earlierthis week, fans took to Twitter tocelebrate this occasion with cele-bratory tweets, photos and videosof their on-screen idol, showcas-ing their love and sending birth-day wishes to the superstar.
