AimThis intensive shadow course enables participants to work alongsideIVF experts, “shadowing” and learning from their expertise. It will takeplace at G.EN.E.R.A. Center for Reproductive Medicine in Rome, aworld-renowned IVF Center that offers an innovative format withoutthe traditional sequence of lectures and case studies.The aim is to learn through practical clinical activity in the clinic.Correct counseling and choosing the appropriate IVF treatment foreach patient requires constant updating and development of newtechnologies. For this reason, participants will improve their clinicaland embryological knowledge of an IVF cycle by participating at eachstep of the IVF procedure in the IVF laboratory and operating room,guided by a dedicated tutor, observing oocyte retrievals and embryotransfers.Interactive “open discussion” moments will be most welcome to givethe possibility to exchange views. This live educational courserepresents a unique opportunity to share experience and improvecompetence in IVF techniques.
Learning objectivesBy attending this live educational course, participants will be able to:- Recognise the crucial steps in the correct management of aninfertile couple- Analyse the organisation of an IVF laboratory- Understand the importance of a technologically advanced andefficient IVF lab- Evaluate the role of the new IVF technologies in routine clinicalactivity- Recognise factors that can influence the success or failure inassisted reproductive technology (ART)
