Business Plan Competition

Business Plan Competition was held under the joint banner of Higher

Education Forum (HEF) and Finance Forum of India (FFOI), G. N. Khalsa

College, Seminar Hall on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Ten B-Schools

participated in this competition.

VIPANAN-2017 .

The Annual Marketing Meet, VIPNAN-2017,

was organized by the Marketing Team on

Saturday, April 1, 2017, in Room No. 202.

The theme of the meet was “Customer

Engagement”. Dr. Bigyan P. Verma gave the

inaugural Address and the welcome

Address was given by Mr. Hanuman Tripathi,

founder and Group Managing Director,

Infrasoft Technologies Limited. The other

speakers were Mr. H. Krishna Kanath,

General Manager, PMC Bank; Mr. Salil Bawa,

Sr. VP and Head Stakeholder Relation,

Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd.; and Mr.

Vikas Bajaj, Associate Director, Commercial

Markets, IBM.

Dr. Gautam Trehan proposed the Vote of Thanks.

Library Orientation .

EMBA Batch 12 were given a Library Orientation on April 2, 2017 by Ms.

Neeta Malik in Room No. 103. She gave a PowerPoint Presentation and

explained about the Library Resources, rules and regulations, etc. They

were also given a tour of the library.

ProQuest Training

PGDM Batch (2016-2018) were given a training on ProQuest usage by

Prof. Kuljeet G. Kahlon on April 5, 2017. The students were encouraged

to use ProQuest Data base for their studies.

Examinations

Exams were conducted for Full Time (MMS) Semester IV (CBSGS) from

April 3, 2017 till April 10, 2017.

Part-time Courses, (MFM / MMM / MHRDM) Semester IV from April 8,

2017 till April 23, 2017; Semester VI on April 15 – 16, 2017 and

Semester II from April 29, 2017 till May 14, 2017.

National Library Week

Prof. Kuljeet G. Kahlon and Ms. Neeta Malik attended the round table

discussion on “New Initiatives for Transforming Libraries”. This was held

on April 11, 2017 from 2.30 pm till 4.30 pm at the American Library.

The objective of the discussion was to share stories of library

Innovations / Modifications that showcases the transformative nature of

today’s libraries. The outcome of the discussion was that librarians are

very creative and hardworking. We all are trying all possible ways to

increase footfalls, maintain interests in Library Resources and increase

reading habits amongst our patrons. This was a great learning

experience for us.

Promotional Activities:

GNIMS Staff and Students visited various Gurudwara’s to promote our

Institute. Baishaki Celebration at Garodia Nagar, Ghatkopar was the

venue for the promotional activity, on April 13, 2017.

Baishaki Celebration at Kharghar Gurudwara was also celebrated by

GNIMS on April 16, 2017.

Fare well

Part-Time Students (2014-2017 Batch) were given a warm farewell on

Sunday, April 23, 2017 in the G. N. Khalsa College Seminar Hall.

Dr. Bigyan P. Verma gave a motivating farewell speech to the students.

The Class Representatives of all the courses (MMM / MHRDM / MFM)

were given a token of appreciation and the best Students Project from

each course were also awarded with medals. Class Representatives also

gave their views about their experience at GNIMS. Prof. Ritu Tuli shared

her experience about the students.

All the outgoing students were presented with a gift as a token of

remembrance and lunch was provided to all. Group Photo of the

students was also taken along with all their faculties.
