The PC communication with the Fleet77 has to be performed with an external modem attached, 128 Kbps ISDN (2x64 Kbps) can only be performed through the ISDN port (X7) on the 128Kbps compatible BDU. Setting up procedure

128Kbps ISDN configuration – Windows XP Subject: This document describes how to connect to the Internet via the Fleet77 128 Kbps ISDN using Windows XP platform. The PC communication with the Fleet77 has to be performed with an external modem attached, 128 Kbps ISDN (2x64 Kbps) can only be performed through the ISDN port (X7) on the 128Kbps compatible BDU. Recommended modems can be found in Accredited Solutions.

Priority:

• LOW: For information purpose only – no direct action needed! Action: Follow the steps below to set-up the modem under Windows XP and perform the connection.

1. Install the external modem according to the description of the modem manufacturer.

2. Open Control Panel by left-clicking Start and select Control Panel.

3. Select Network Connections.

4. Select Create a new connection.

5. Press Next>.

6. Select Connect to the Internet and press Next>.

7. Select Set up my connection manually and press Next>.

8. Select Connect using a dial-up modem and press Next>.

9. Select your installed modem (in this case the two ISDN channel – USB Light Rider 128K WAN TAPI Miniport) and press Next>. Note ! Remember to select (tag) both channels for the installed modem.

10. Enter a suitable name for the connection and press Next>.

11. Enter the phone number to your Internet Service Provider or to the Internet gateway at your LES (please remember in both cases the # after the phone number) and press Next>. Note ! If you are adding 906 in front of the phone number (like here), this will always command the call to be performed as a 2x64Kbps ISDN connection, no matter the routing for the Fleet terminal. Note ! If running 2x56 ISDN connection the prefix number to forces this service is 907.

12. Select as you please and press Next>.

13. Enter a User name and Password (provided by your Internet Service Provider or the LES, if needed) and press Next>.

14. Tag the Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop, end the setup of connection by pressing Finish.

15. Select (double-click) your Dial-up icon for the 128K ISDN connection created above.

16. Select Dial.

17. The PC is dialing up to the Internet gateway or Internet Service Provider.

18. When the connection is made on the first 64K ISDN channel, username and password is being validated.

19. The computer is being registered at the network.

20. The connection on first channel is made and bundling first and second 64K ISDN channel is being done.

21. Connection is now up running at 128Kbps. The Browser, E-mail program or other programs can be opened, the Internet is available.
