For instructions on putting together the headset, please reference the printed Quickstart Guide provided in the box or download and print the electronic version at icaptech.com Support Options page. Upgrading customers: The version 2.0 installation will not overwrite your original software or data. It will however create a new directory and links to the new software version so you no longer have access to your previous scores. You must upgrade to version 2.0 in order to continue receiving new features as they become available. 1. Insert the installation CD into your computer's CD-drive. The installer will automatically begin the process. 2. The first message simply informs you that you are in the process of installing the software. The most important point is to make sure that you have enough space on your hard drive before you install. Press the OK button to load the installer. 3. When the installer has loaded you will be guided through several screens. Simply press the Next (or I Agree) button to continue through the installation process.

4. When you come to the Installation directory screen, we recommend leaving the software to install in the default Programs folder. Press the Next button to begin installing the software.

5. The next two screens inform you that the software and then the audio, over 750

minutes worth of content, is being installed on your computer. Depending on the speed of your computer’s CD-drive this usually takes a few minutes to complete.

6. The next screen has you insert your USB base station into an open USB port that is within sight of where you are sitting so that your signal will be strong. Then you follow a series of steps.

a. If you have removed the installation CD, put it back in the CD drive b. Plug in the USB base station c. The Windows “Found New Hardware Wizard” will appear after a few second

i. Choose “No, not this time,” and then choose the Next button (some machines may go directly to the second screen in this process)

ii. Choose “Install the software automatically” and then choose the Next button

You may see a window asking for usbser.sys. If so, find it on your CD drive under WindowsXP\drivers

iii. Choose “Continue Anyway”

iv. Choose “Finish”

d. Repeat steps b and c for every USB port you might use on your computer

e. Your USB base station installation is complete f. Press the Next button to continue

7. Then the installer configures the software and places icons in the startup menu. 8. Then it asks if it is OK to track anonymous data. Check or uncheck as desired and

then press the next button.

You have now successfully installed your software and you are ready to begin your first session. Please see the Quickstart Guide that came in your box, download and print an electronic copy of the guide, or follow the step-by-steps in the new online Software Guide at icaptech.com.

TROUBLESHOOTING Software Not Finding USB Base Station After Install Occasionally, even after you install will not be able to find the base station when you start the software. If the “Looking for Base Station” message remains in the lower right of your screen, there are several options. 1. Make sure you have a USB 2.0 slot. The ICAP™ Release Meter USB base station

only works with USB 2.0. 2. Try quitting the software by pressing the X in the upper-right corner of the window.

Then remove the USB base station and replace it in the USB slot. Restart the software.

If the message remains, please contact us directly and we’ll walk you through other steps to check the USB driver and base station. CUSTOM ICONS The ICAP™ Release Meter software now has a custom icon. This will not appear on the dock or in the ICAP Release Meter won’t always appear until after you have restarted your computer. INTERNET UPDATES All ongoing updates to the software are free, and take place over the Internet through a built-in process in the software. Simply open the software, make sure you are connected to the Internet and then press the white Update button to get the most recent updates. SOFTWARE ERRORS If you receive a message that says that there has been an error with the software, please enter your email address and send it on to us. This helps us track the problem you are having and allows us to fix it with an update. Please contact us directly if the problem persists.
