industry through continuous interaction at various levels.
Going beyond the curriculum in developing aptitudes for
employability and life long learning skills.
Developing sportsmen spirit and a high degree of morale among
the students and encouraging healthy team spirit.
Web design has changed
tremendously in the
last few years and it’s still changing.
More than changing, web design is evolving
and evolution is bounded with complexity.
Prof. V.M. Patil
The department of computer engineering
DCOER, Pune conducted a two days workshop on
13th & 14th Aug 2013 on “Website Development &
Networking”.
Context of the workshop is to Increased
concentration on web site design & development
along with Network Configuring is expected to
change the future of computer engineering. One of
the aims of the workshop is to assess the present
status and to identify further lines of development.
Prof. V M Patil presented the importance of Web
site development & approaches that are required
for the effective & secure web site development as
well as how to practically design the web pages,
how to link them & how to display the web pages by
using the browsers.. Prof. S V Nagpure presented
the different techniques that are used for the
network configuration & web server development
to host the web sites designed by the web designers.
They also focused on about the practical design &
configuration of web server using different server
network operating systems.

DAYS CELEBRATED BY
DEPARTMENT
Traditinal Day
Traditional Day is observed as a celebration of India's diverse
culture, and is usually relaxed day at work. It’s a day designated for
people to come in traditional attire from their home state, or specific
culture of their choice. The “Traditional Day” ce lebration was to
represent Indian culture. Computer Department organized a
traditional Day. The event was an effort to contribute to remember
our culture and celebrate the event with great enthusiasm and gusto.
The atmosphere everywhere was of joy and celebration as from our
busy corporate life we could find time to celebrate the festival
together as a family.

Teachers day celebration
One day every year, our students celebrate Teachers' Day in honor
of the teachers who spend so much time teaching them so many
things. This year, Teachers' Day began with an assembly in the
seminar hall where the head of the department delivered a speech.
The students gave a small party for the teachers of the department.
Each of the students contributed a small sum of money to buy cakes
& flowers. On that day students arranged the chairs and desks so
that they surrounded an empty space in the middle of the
classroom. Then began a round of eating and playing games with
the teachers. Most of the faculty members were very sporting and
we thoroughly enjoyed them. It was so different from having
lessons.

Parent’s teacher meeting of Department of Computer Engineering was
held on 21st Sept 2013 at Seminar Hall of the computer engineering
department. The program commenced at 01:00 pm with the saraswati
pujan. The Staff of every class were introduced by the Head of the
department to the gathering. The parent were addressed by the
Principal about the importance gathering for the parents meet & about
the practices run by the institute for the development & betterment of
the students. The purpose of this meeting was:
• To evaluate the progress of academic year of the students, in the
curricular and non-curricular activities.
• To remind about rules and regulations of DCOER, Pune.
• To inform the parents that, they too are responsible for the growth
of the student
