The best way of doing this is to disseminate information about the benefits of emerging technologies among the future citizens of our country. That is the main objective of TDCS. Can Science students participate in TDCS? No; TDCS-2017 is open for all college students doing Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Technology only. I am not an IEEE member. Can I participate in the program? Yes; Suggest you combine with IEEE Student member of your college, so that you become eligible for financial support for participating in the Contest. Still better would be for you to become a member of IEEE and reap all other benefits too. Becoming IEEE member is very easy. There is a very simple on-line procedure you need to follow. Any of your fellow IEEE members can help you on this. I am in a college outside Pune. Can I participate in the program? Yes; this is a nation –wide program. However, if you are outside Pune, (Pin code is NOT 411xxx) you may not be able to get financial support from IEEE Pune section. About TDCS

Background: Life style of common man gets influenced by the tremendous pace of developments taking place in all aspects of Technology. Whereas the Internet, Mobile and Communication technologies have direct visual effects on the day to day activities, others like the Space, Remote Sensing or Smart grid technologies have been influencing our way of living indirectly. There is a need to disseminate information about these developments among students at all levels.

Objective of TDCS: Main objective of TDCS is to use Engineering college students to disseminate information about emerging technologies among high School children both at Rural and Urban level. Exposure to these developments at high school level will not only motivate them to opt for higher studies in these areas but also prepare them for adopting these technologies smoothly and efficiently. TDCS will also provide a platform for the part ic ipat ing col lege students to experiment with different modern educat ional tools and use thei r innovativeness in using the tools effectively.

IEEE & TDCS: Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) is the world?s largest technical professional Organization dedicated to advancing Technology for the benefit of humanity.
