Why Language Instruction? Language instruction must stay ahead of reading instruction at the beginning level. The children’s

language skills must stay ahead of what they are decoding in print so that they always understand what they read. This program emphasizes language as a means of describing the world and as a tool for thinking and solving problems.

Your child will learn to:• Listen carefully

• Speak clearly

• Follow directions accurately

• Think critically

•Promotes home school connection through worksheet prompts
