Literacy Activity - The Elves and The Shoemakers

When teaching literacy at St. Aloysius, we love to sometimes incorporate Talk for Writing within our teaching. Talk for Writing have been producing work booklets which you can find on our school website in the ‘Home Learning’ section and within ‘Year Two Home Learning’.. This week we are going to continue to work on activities based around ‘The Elves and the Shoemakers’. We are going to take some of the activities from the booklet, but if you do complete the work and require a few more activities, please visit our website and download the booklet.

Being a Good Friend RecipeWe know that lots of you may be missing your friends, but just imagine how exciting it will be when you get to see them and all of the wonderful

memories you will be able to make with them! This week, we thought it might be a good idea to write a ‘Being a Good Friend Recipe. You need to think about all of the different things which make you a good friend.

This is an example of how you could set it out, but if you have a better idea, we are more than happy to see your own version! We would love to see some of your completed recipes. You can design them however you like. It may be on the floor in chalk, an iMovie creation, a handwritten recipe or

even on the computer.
