April 15th – Holy Saturday

During the day, Holy Saturday is silent, preparing for the Solemn Vigil of Easter. During the Vigil a series of readings recall all of salvation history, culminating in the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. The Alleluia, which has not been used during the forty days of Lent returns just before the gospel. Fol-lowing the homily the adults who have been preparing all year are welcomed into the Church by being bap-tized, confirmed and receiving the Holy Eucharist for the first time.

April 16th - Easter Sunday

On Easter the Church celebrates how our heavenly Father raised Jesus from the dead. Note that the Mass times are different from the usual on Sundays. We have many visitors on Easter but our parking lot is still the same small size. If you can easily walk to Church please do so. If you want a seat in the church, plan on coming early.

GOOD FRIDAY COLLECTION The annual Good Friday Collection for the Holy Land will be taken up on Friday, April 14th. As a pontifical collection requested by Pope Francis, the annual Good Friday Collection offers a direct link for parishioners to be witnesses of peace and to help protect the Holy Places. Many Christians in the Holy Land depend on this collection for their well-being. The wars, unrest and instability have been especially hard on them. This collection also provides humanitarian aid to refugees and ensures Christians have access to the sacraments in places like Syria. Unite with Christians around the world in a special way during Lent, Holy Week and Easter. On Good Friday, our hearts, minds and prayers are made especially aware of the Holy Land. Please be as generous as your abundance allows.

CONSTRUCTION COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS Msgr Mike is asking for additional volunteers to help him by joining the Construction, Safety & Security Committee. Duties are to assist the Pastor in the planning, budgeting, execution and oversight of Parish construction and maintenance projects. The members of the Committee will have demonstrated experience and expertise in construction projects and/or property management. Of special importance is expertise to implement building projects that focus on safety and security at the Parish campus. In this regard, members of the Committee will have demonstrated experience and expertise in safety and security planning and responsibility. These members will work with other Committee members that have expertise in construction projects and property management. Committee meetings are held every three months, but additional time is needed for volunteers to provide oversight on current construction and/or safety and security projects. If you have questions, would like more information, or
