Its Sport Relief 2016! Were all going to join together pupils, teachers, parents, sports stars, celebrities to raise money for Sport Relief on Friday 18th March.

And this years Sport Relief is all about doing something that youre proud of whatever that might be.

Can anyone tell me something sport (or non-sporty) theyre doing that theyre a little bit proud of? How could you use what youre doing to raise money for Sport Relief?

Maybe youve started doing something new (for example dancing, martial arts, chess) and could get sponsored to reach your first target?

And lets not forget the reason why were all getting ready for Sport Relief.

Show your pupils this short film about Champa, a ten-year-old girl from Dhaka in Bangladesh. Champa lives in a slum settlement and has to work collecting rubbish from the street to sell to support her family. But the good news is a project funded by Sport Relief cash is helping her. Champa goes to a drop-in centre for a few hours a day, where she can study, make new friends and find time to play like other children her own age.

The film will help your pupils understand the challenges faced by working children and how money raised for Sport Relief helps.
