Jumbled Jungle PlantsCarnivorous creations or fabulous flora, come and make your own crazy jungle plant to take home. No watering required!

MasksMake and decorate your mask of a lion, elephant, crowned crane or your favourite jungle animal. Suitable for ages 6–11.

Safari Printing WorkshopCreate your own animal-printed creations to take home and use.

LEGO on SafariDesign your own animal using LEGO, name it and then add it to our ‘Animals on Safari’ display. Help us make the display using jungle playdough, sticks, leaves, rocks and more. Suitable for ages 3–12.

Mixed-Up Animal Flip BookMake your own mixed-up safari animal book. All it takes is a few flips and you might create a zebdile (a head of a zebra and body of a crocodile). Or a maybe an elepotamus?

African ArtPaint your own piece of African art or make a diorama to use at our upcoming stop motion workshop. Suitable for ages 5+.

Animals in MotionExplore the world of illusions and stop-motion technology as we make animals move in this interactive workshop.

Science on SafariTake science into the jungle as we make jungle slime, volcanoes erupt and snakes slither. Enter the world of the big cats through augmented reality.

Each child will make a mini safari scene diorama to take home. Just bring your sense of adventure and a shoe box (or small box) if you have one.

Silly BilliesMake a monkey from cardboard and amuse your friends by moving his arms and legs into all sorts of comical positions. After you have finished your monkey business, get your photo taken at our green screen station.

African Shakers, Rain Sticks and MancalaWe are making a variety of safari craft: shakers and rain sticks – to be used at our African drumming workshop – and the game Mancala using an egg carton.

Please bring a cardboard tube (eg. from glad wrap or paper towel), soft drink bottle and egg carton. Suitable for ages 5–12.

Elephant Pop-Up CardSurprise your friends with the original pop-up card. They are easy to make once you know some basic techniques. Write a safari inspired poem, story or habitat description on your elephant’s ears.

Stop Motion AnimationCreate your own safari animal using coloured clay then your creation will star in a stop motion film. Participants will be working in groups to create a film using the Stop Motion App. Suitable for ages 5+. Bookings essential.

Aussie Wildlife Displays will be demonstrating native wildlife such as reptiles, marsupials, birds and amphibians. There will be three sessions across YPRL and numbers are limited. Please choose one session only. Bookings essential for Watsonia sessions.
