SCHNOOR indoor coverage (inhouse) radio systems for digital radio in accordance with the TETRA standard are available in all common supply variants or combina-tions of these:

• TMO(TrunkedModeOperation)repeater forcon-necting the property to the nationwide TETRA radio network including direct connection to the controlcentre.

• TMO-A (autonomous trunked mode) repeater inTMOmode,butwithoutconnection to thenationalnetwork.Itisnotnecessarytoswitchtheterminals,itworksasanautonomoussolutionnotrelyingonthenationalnetworkandoffersthefullTMOfunctionality.

What is indoor coverage radio?

Comprehensive radio coverage with digital the “BOS” public safety radio system is indispensable for the fire brigade,policeandrescueservices.Thefirebrigadesinparticular need this radio contact in critical applications in buildings and in structures such as tunnels or indus-trial plants. The following applies to all variants: The compact system technology of SCHNOOR’s indoor coverage radio sys-temsisthemostspace-savingsolutiononthemarket.Itis housed in a robust enclosure together with a battery-buffered emergency power supply.

Of course, installations, emergency power supply andother components such as a fire brigade control panel are installed in such a way that they comply with the guideli-nes of the local fire brigade.

Inmostcases,aradiatinghigh-frequencycableisusedasanantennasystem.This“leakyfeeder”isroutedthroughthebuildingasa loop forredundantsupply,and is sup-plemented with freely radiating antennas to ensure com-prehensive coverage. This flame-retardant, halogen-freecoaxialcablecouplestheelectromagneticwavesintothebuilding through openings in the outer conductor.

In larger buildings, several systems are usually installed,whicharethennetworkedviaanopticaldistributionsys-tem.
