3 tens cannot be subtracted from 1 tens .
So, regroup 4 hundreds and 1 tens into 3 hundreds and 11 tens.

Ans. The paintbrush was given to Ma Liang by an old man.

Ans. He was told to use it for helping poor and needy people.

Ans. Ma Liang drew a buffalo and the buffalo came to life. The old man could use the buffalo to pull
the plough easily.
