Computer Aided Learning and Digital Literacy as a Life Skill Program
Digital Mela in 7 states
Students from Pratham InfoTech Founda�on's DigiTech Centers organized Digital Mela (exhibi�ons) in their respec�ve schools. In line with Digital India's vision, PIF aims at giving each child an exposure to the digital world. This exhibi�on was held in 392 centers in government and private schools across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, U�ar Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu wherein students more than 1lacpar�cipated.The exhibi�ons were based on topics like Good touch - Bad touch, GST, Traffic rules, Electric Circuit, Process of Cloth Making, Water Resources, Web pages, etc. In school where the computer program was just introduced, students presented projects related to Founda�on Course which covered topics like Traffic rules, Mode of Transport and Parts of Computer.Students made models on these topics first and later the same was done prac�cally on the computer. The students shared informa�on with the parents, others students, Principals and teachers who were present for the Digital Mela. The aim of this exhibi�on is to give the students a pla�orm to showcase their talent and also for parents to see what their children have learnt through the year. It is also a �me when all stakeholders come together.
Computer Training for School Principals and Teachers
Computer training for principals and teachers across eight states in India was organized from December 2017 to January 2018. This training was done with the aim to keep the teachers and principals updated with technology. The training was helpful for them and will also be useful to the students with whom these teachers work. The training covered projects based on Applica�on So�ware and use of the internet. Some of the teachers had a first �me experience with various social networking sites and enjoyed the training. There were altogether 198 Principals and 364 Teachers from 247 schools .

Star Readers
Reading helps find the best way to get informed knowledge. The habit of reading influences the overall development of a child and so it should begin from childhood. WNS has donated cupboards and library books in each school.Keeping in mind the importance of reading, The 'Star Readers' compe��on was organized by Pratham InfoTech Founda�on and WNS Cares Founda�on. This compe��on started from 5th December, 2017.
Students who have read the most number of books from the library corner during the year were selected for the Star Readers' compe��on.In the compe��on, 135 schools from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and Gurgaam were included. 3,376 school students from Std 1 to 9 par�cipated in the 'Star Readers' compe��on. 2,848 students won the 'Star Readers' final. A ceremony was organised wherein these winners were awarded with a cer�ficate and a star reader badge.
Global Impact Day- Importance of Cyber Safety
Cyber Safety is an important topic in the age of technology. Pratham InfoTech Founda�on and WNS Cares Founda�on organised a compe��on based on Cyber Safety as part of the Global Impact Day.
st th78,989 students from 1 to 9 standard across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, U�ar Pradesh and West Bengal par�cipated. The compe��on began on 9th November, 2017 and was held in 4 phases. Students should be aware of cyber safety and so sessions were held explaining the importance of it. This was done through the use of infographics and videos, Shivani Kshirsagar from Samartha Vidyalay, Navi Mumbai and Sashant from Nirmal Public School, Gurugram won at the na�onal level. Students were aarded a cer�ficate and a badge.
Science Fair
28th February is celebrated as science day each year. On this day in 1928, Sir Chandrasekhar Venkata Raman discovered a phenomenon of sca�ering of photons which was later known as 'Raman Effect'. In honor of this day, PIF organised a science exhibi�on in 79 schools and 49 community centers in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune and Nashik. Model based projects were made by students with the help of their teachers.
These projects were based on the theme- 'Environment' which included models like Solar System, Water Cycle, Agriculture, Rain Water Harves�ng, Pollu�on, Global Warming, Environment- Dos and Don'ts, Volcano, Magic of 3Rs, Waste Management. It was a success! Each student who par�cipated was given a cer�ficate.

EndLine Tes�ng- In schools
Development of academic capabilites of students reflects in their End Line Tests. Before school curriculum starts, Base Line Tests are conducted in all schools with the CAL and DLLS Program. It helps in understanding and evalua�ng student's academic development. Once the second semester curriculum is taught, EndLine Test is conducted. If the student scores less, reasons are traced and measures are undertaken. EndLine tes�ng was carried out in all states wherein 2lac students par�cipated. These were both wri�en and prac�cal.
The students in my school are now equipped with skills that give them an entry into today's Digital World. This will help them get many more opportuni�es later in life when they hit the job market. This has happened because of Pratham InfoTech Founda�on's Computer Aided Learning and Digital Literacy as a Life Skill Program that runs in the school. Our school has its own Whatsapp group now wherein a lot of important informa�on on educa�onal ma�ers and various schemes are shared. The CAL and DLLS program is truly very beneficial to the students in my school

Entrepreneur workshop
My e-school
A workshop was organised for the entrepreneurs in the My e-school Program th th on the 5 and 6 of January, 2018 in Kharghar, Mumbai.
The main objec�ve of the workshop was, teaching through the Hybrid Model,
using tradi�onal methods combined with technology.The workshop focused on
planning and building modules for English, Math, Science and Social Studies.
They were also trained by their team leaders on how to use ac�vi�es and videos
as part of their teaching methodology.

16 year old Rohini Mahabdi lives with her grandparents, mother and brother in Muk� Nagar, Govandi. Her mother is a security guard in a hospital and manages the house with an income of seven thousand a month.Rohini was weak in Math and English and so was enrolled in PIF's Utkarsh Program- Remedial Educa�on. She is now a part of PIF's My e school Program since the past 2 years.“In school it is difficult to clear doubts and also there are so many students. But here in My e school, I can comfortably ask ques�ons. My teacher teaches me very well and explains again and again �ll I understand the concept”, shares Rohini.
Rohini never liked learning tables but she says that her teacher helped her learn it and also made her enjoy the process. She also learnt the rules of grammar which she just couldn't follow earlier. Her English improved. Rohini enjoys her �me at the center. They even celebrate fes�vals together. The friendly environment in the community helped her adjust sooner than she expected.Rohini loves Kabbadi. She never missed a game on TV and soon began dreaming of playing the sport. Her brother and other boys o�en poked fun at her. This made her even more determined to learn it. A girl from the neigbouring community played the sport. Rohini made friends with her and along with the permission from her family, Rohini began playing Kabbadi. She took part in various compe��ons. She won many prizes too. She gained a lot of knowledge and built her skills from the various Kabbadi trainers. The sport moulded her into a strong, confident and brave young girl.Rohini was scared of a few subjects and also had very low self confidence when it came to performing in school. My e -school Program helped her overcome those fears. Rohin says she wants to study hard and do well. She looks forward to play for India and be part of the military.

Workshops and Compe��ons
Saksham e- educa�on for all
thBhar� Dingra has been teaching Math and Science to 6 Standard students since 22 years. She says that Saksham has taught her a lot about ac�vity based learning and various other interes�ng teaching methodologies. Using these new methods, easy steps and tricks in her classes has helped her students in their Math difficul�es. Even Science has many fun and interes�ng ac�vi�es which makes it a happy experience for the students.“Complemen�ng ac�vity based learning along with theory from their regular text books, helps them learn be�er. Students who are otherwise quiet in class, also get involved in this process”, says Bhar�. The Saksham Program has brought teachers and students closer and this has helped in a lot of ways.

Pratham InfoTech Founda�on had organized IT Training to all the newly joined fellows associated with Digital th stSakshar Program. The training took place at PIF's Kurla Head office on 30 and 31 January 2018, in which 24
fellows par�cipated. During the session, Windows, MS Office and Internet was covered. These fellows are responsible to provide Digital Sakshar training to more than 1200 youths per batch.

Job Fairs for more than 1,500 candidates was organized in 6 different th th
loca�ons across Mumbai from 7 March to 24 March 2018. During
these events 1,235 candidates and 125 companies par�cipated,
5,887 rounds of interviews took place in which 867 candidates got
selected. As compared to the last job fair there is a subsequent
increase in the par�cipa�on of candidates by 20%, HR's par�cipa�on
by 54%, rounds of interviews by 82% and selec�on of candidates by
35%.

thWith the aim of building capacity of Warli art in local youth, we ini�ate 5 batch of 51 students in January 2018 at
Warli Art Center Talasari. During the span of 3 months these students will be trained in 20 different topics. The
aim of this training is to help our students to acquire the skills required for Warli art and create a medium of
earning by showcasing this art.

I am aiming to see myself working on a be�er profile where I can use all the skills
which I learnt through Digital Sakshar course. I took part in this course and learnt
excel, word, internet and power point, which helps me understand how to maintain
records, write le�ers and reports, prepare presenta�ons and search online
informa�on. During the session we have been trained in so� skills such as public
speech, confidence, team work and many more. I am using all these skills while
working with Pratham InfoTech Founda�on as an office assistant, where my
responsibili�es are to maintain a�endance and visitors book, to check office related
inventories and prepare data. I also look a�er office cleanliness and hygiene. Other
than working with Pratham InfoTech Founda�on, I am pursuing my HSC
simultaneously and will go on to gradua�on, I wanted to do something in the
commercial sector but I am open for arts and other fields too. I have a special
interest in photography as well and if I get a chance to learn this.I wish to convert it
into a business. I would like to thank Pratham InfoTech Founda�on and LTI for giving
me this opportunity.

IDI e- educa�on for all
Advance course for beau�cians
Pratham InfoTech Founda�on along with BPCL started an advance level beau�cian course for women in March
2018. This course was specially flagged off for women residing in Mahul village, who had completed the basic
beau�cian course earlier. The advance level course is for 2 months; in which training of Permanent Hair
Straitening, Bridal Makeup and Hair Transplant Therapy will be provided. This course is conducted at Anil Asrani
ins�tute with a total of enrollment of 40 women.
