Complete road closures – Friday 17 January 2020

Torrens Valley Road (Shannon Street), Birdwood o Complete closure from Blumel Road to the National Motor Museum entrance between 7:30am –

7:00pm* o Complete closure from Warren Road to Lange Crescent from approximately 12:15pm – 1:45pm

Race sprint passing at 12:30 Race finish at 1:30pm on Torrens Valley Road in front of National Motor Museum

*These closure times have been put in place for public safety and to allow set up and pack down of event infrastructure. However, we hope to commence reopening of roads prior to this time.

Detours Detours will be in place to direct through traffic around the township, please refer to signage on the day.

Business and Resident Access Access to Birdwood businesses including Klose’s Foodland complex will be available via the eastern end of Torrens Valley Road. Please note that during the complete closure times for the race pass and finish (12:15pm – 1:45pm) no motor vehicles will be permitted in or out of properties on Torrens Valley Road (Shannon Street) between Warren Road and Lange Crescent.

Parking Public parking will be available on the grounds of the National Motor Museum via Church Street.

No Parking Zones will be installed along Torrens Valley Road from the evening of Thursday 16 January to ensure they are completely clear by the following morning. These restrictions will stay in place until roads reopen.

Rolling road closures The remainder of the event route will operate under ‘rolling’ road closures – SA Police will temporarily halt traffic as the race passes with the support of trained traffic marshals.
