Expertise Events is one of Australia’s leading events companies with an annual portfolio of over 30 events. I have worked across many international and national events, some of which include:SILMO Sydney 2017 / The International Jewellery Fair (IJF) / The Australian Jewellery Fair (AJF) / Furnitex Connect / Gift HQ / The Stitches and Craft Show / The Craft & Quilt Fair. Each show has its own defined brand identity which I must maintain throughout my work.I am responsible for the design of all marketing material that is released to both exhibitors and visitors. This includes press advertisements, preview magazines, EDM design, DL flyers, information design, sales brochures, web design and internet advertisements. My work has been widely published.Due to the speed of the industry and the need to meet constant deadlines, I have developed highly proficient time management skills whilst maintaining a strictly supreme level of work.I work closely with various printers to ensure that each job meets the deadline whilst being of a professional quality. My role also requires me to work closely with managers, sales people, operations and marketing personnel.

The Rabbit Hole is the in-house design studio of Western Sydney University. During my final year of University, I worked at the Rabbit Hole as a Junior Designer.I worked across a number of different professional design projects; Rebrand of the Penrith Observatory / Partaking in AGIdeas 2014 / Developing brand concepts for the design school’s graduate show. In all of these projects I worked closely with a team of students and reported to the clients in formal and informal meeting situations.

Circus is a multi-disciplinary advertising company located in North Sydney. I spent time there in 2013 gaining valuable professional experience. I worked across a number of different projects which included the re-brand of Circus.

SILMO Sydney will be a major event for the optical industry in Australia. It is the Sydney leg of the international brand that is SILMO. It is following the SILMO shows in Paris and Istanbul and will be one of the first events held at the new International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour.

I have been involved from the initial conceptualisation to the current stage of the marketing campaign. I have used black and white images, combined with a strong blue and bold typography to create a look that is modern and easily recognisable.

The Jewellery Design Awards (JDA) are being held at the International Jewellery Fair in 2017. It is a prestigious event that invites a large number of different jewellery designers.

The logo is a type based treatment, that is designed to be elegant and clever so it would appeal to the jewellery industry.

A main feature at the 2016 International Jewellery Fair used to advertise the 2017 IJF.

It was a challenging piece of work that required a large amount of time and effort. But was extremely rewarding.

When viewed from the right angle, it creates an entire image. However, if it isn’t, it appears to be distorted.

The International Jewellery Fair and Australian Jewellery Fair are two major buying and networking shows for the jewellery industry.

I have been involved in the marketing of these shows. This includes full page ads in national magazines, fair directories and sales packs that have been sent to exhibitors for the 2017 International Jewellery Fair – one of the first shows to be held at the new International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour.

A lot of this marketing material has required me to push my creative abilities, work with the Creative Director and improve my skills in Photoshop.

Gift HQ is a leading gift and homewares show in Queensland.

I have been involved in the marketing of the show, from conception to finished art. Throughout this process, I have worked closely with the Creative Director and other designers.

The marketing material for Gift HQ is extremely varied and includes full page ads, an onsite guide, fair directory, A4 flyers, post show reports, EDMs, web pages, web buttons and banners.

Design HQ is an area inside Gift HQ dedicated to interior design. I developed the Design HQ logo to compliment the Queensland Interior Decorators Association logo. Design HQ has been designed to look modern, while conforming to the brand identity of Gift HQ.

Furnitex Connect was a reboot of the show held by the Australian Furniture Association (AFA). It was a major event for the furniture industry in Australia.

I was involved from the very beginning. I worked closely with the Creative Director and Managing Director to develop the look and feel of the show and the creative campaign.

The logo is based on a typographical treatment which established the look and feel of the campaign. My approach to the print and digital aspects of the campaign was to keep it clean and simple to appeal to the contemporary environment of the industry.

Pacprint is a show dedicated to the printing industry. Fair events submitted a pitch to organise the show for 2017.

I designed the pitch document and was involved in the project from the very beginning. I worked closely with the Managing Director, Creative Director and Marketing Manager to complete the project. We developed a series of ad campaigns that would be used if we won the pitch.

On each page, I included registration and crop marks. There are a number of similar nuances throughout the document, including colour bars on the print ads that were developed.
